ADS or Aim Down Sights is a mechanic in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6) to hit shots more accurately and track targets. Read on to learn more about ADS and when to ADS.
When to Use ADS |

|
When fighting in close-quarters, try to pre-fire before aiming down sights as you lock into your target. You might get the advantage in the fight by hitting your shots first than when you ADS first and then start shooting.
In medium to long range fights, accuracy matters more, making ADS almost a requirement. Acquire your target through ADS before firing to increase your accuracy and ensure you hit your shots.
The enemy's head is the most vulnerable body part of the enemy and will guarantee a one shot kill when hit. Practice your aim and use ADS at head level.
Remember that players will do what they can to minimize their hitzones by changing stances and doing maneuvres such as slides, dives, and drop shots.
Weapon attachments such as sights or scopes can improve your ADS speed. Regular optics like Iron Sights and Red Dot Sights will have faster ADS speeds compared to scopes.
Aim Down Sights, commonly referred to as ADS or Aiming Down Sights, is an essential mechanic for engaging in gunfights to reduce sway and hit shots accurately.
Using ADS will utilize your equipped gun's optics attachment, or iron sights if it has none. This greatly helps in target acquisition and tracking the enemy.
