Players can get prone kills by killing other players while prone or drop shotting in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (BO6). Read on to learn what prone kills are, and how to get prone kills!

What are Prone Kills?

Kills Done while in Prone Position

Prone kills are essentially kills done during a prone stance. Going prone is commonly used to stabilize your aim and minimize your hitbox, a common tactic for snipers.

It is also a common stance to go into when drop shotting (dropping to a prone position while firing). Take note that the prone position, while offering defensive benefits, will limit your movement speed.

How to Get Prone Kills

Kill Enemies While Prone

Default Input Description
C or CTRL / PS4 - Circle Button / XBOX - B Button
 Change Stance / Slide / Dive

Tap the Change Stance input until you cycle into the prone stance. From there, aim for a target and get the kill.
