When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Lumera will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Lumera are +Spd and -Res. Her Spd is at base 43 and a superboon brings it up to base 47, and further up to 50 after equipping Monarch Blade.
Her Spd is her best stat and is further prioritized by her Null Follow-Up 3 in her base kit, rendering combat as a pure Spd check.
Her Res is her least important stat and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend +Spd when merging Lumera up to +10 for similar reasons above. Her Spd is her most important stat and should be maximized as much as possible.

Lumera's stats work well as a speedy sword unit. Atk/Spd Finish is used to boost her offensive stats while providing sustain. Monarch Blade, Close Call 4, and Spd Smoke 4 provide damage reduction to keep her alive while Atk/Spd Finish 4 sustains her HP. This build lacks Null Follow-Up; ideally she is receiving this buff through support units.

This build uses Distant Dart to retaliate against ranged foes. Vital Astra and Close Call 4 provide additional damage reduction, while Atk/Spd Oath 4 provides the most Atk/Spd boosts from one skill. Null Follow-Up is placed in the Sacred Seal slot to compensate for removing it from her B slot.

Lumera is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Lumera's Monarch Blade grants a flat Spd+3, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat, applies a Guard effect onto the foe, deals damage equal to 15% of Lumera's Spd, and applies Spd-based damage reduction up to 40%.
This weapon has almost everything that a modern day speedy infantry unit would need. It has bonus stats, applies Guard, true damage, and damage reduction.
The only things missing are an accelerated Special trigger, and a Distant Counter effect. While these effects are powerful and make Lumera a bit lacking, these can be worked around.
Monarch Blade lacks an accelerated Special trigger, which makes Lumera quite slow at triggering Special skills.
Most modern weapons have an accelerated Special trigger, allowing their wielders to quickly trigger their Specials. Lumera will require low-cooldown Specials.like Ruptured Sky or Vital Astra in order to keep up.

Lumera is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.

I don't understand why anyone would sacrifice those units with atk/spd finish 4 in order to upgrade this unit. Unless u are a super whale, it would be better to merge those units instead of using them for their skills, wouldn't it?

Atk/Spd Finish 4 is still locked behind 5-star units, and Lumera is easily mergeable up to +10 for maximum Arena scoring. Merges on units who naturally have Atk/Spd Finish 4 aren't easy to come by unless you're a whale or you've saved tons of orbs.
