When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd / -Res

The best IVs for Lapis are +Spd and -Res. Lapis is a very speedy hero with her base 45 Spd, increased to 49 with a superboon. She needs every point of Spd to keep up with the fastest units in the metagame.

As a melee physical attacker, Lapis will encounter physical melee opponents the most. As such, taking Res as a bane over Def is preferred.

+Spd for a +10 merge

We recommend +Spd when merging Lapis up to +10 for similar reasons above. Her Spd is her most important stat and should be maximized as much as possible.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses Arcane Devourer and Time's Pulse 4 to reliably charge up Vital Astra after every combat. The rest of the skills are aimed at having Lapis function as a traditional Godsword unit with high Spd and multiple damage reduction effects.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a budget build using skills with better availability. Spurn 3 is obtainable from combat manuals; any Spd-based damage reduction skill will work here. Boosting Spd and Def helps Lapis survive in combat while Sorcery Blade attacks the lower defensive stat as an alternative to boosting her damage.

Lapis is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Lapis Strengths

Defier's Sword+ creates huge swings in Def stats

Lapis comes with a new inheritable sword in Defier's Sword+. This sword grants Def+5 to Lapis and inflicts Def-5 onto her foe during combat, and also steals any Def bonuses that they have.

This allows Lapis some additional bulk to help her survive against any physical foes she will encounter, while also softening them up for her to improve upon her damage output.

Lack of Unique Skills

Lapis suffers from not having any unique skills to call her own, making her unable to stand out amongst other units.

Sword Infantry units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Lapis replaceable by better units.
