+Spd / -Res

The best IVs for Ascended Fir are +Spd and -Res. Spd boosts her already high Spd, allowing her to keep up with all the fast metagame units. As a speedy sword infantry, Ascended Fir needs every bit of investment in her Spd to maximize her potential.

Her Res is a clear dump stat at only base 21 and is the easy bane of choice.

+Spd for a +10 merge

We recommend +Spd when merging up Ascended Fir to +10 for similar reasons above. Spd is her most important stat.

Ascended Fir's exclusive weapon Vassal-Saint Steel wields multiple effects that swing combat in her favor.

The most important effect is the Time's Pulse 4 effect which pre-charges a 2 cooldown Special like Glimmer, ensuring Fir's Special is available at all times.

For in-combat stat swings, Vassal-Saint Steel grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat and inflicts Spd/Def-X on Fir's foe, where X is dependent on the foe's Special skill.

Finally, Vassal-Saint Steel also grants Fir 40% damage reduction on her foe's first attack, and if she wins a Spd check, neutralizes effects that slow down her Special cooldown charges, ensuring that she triggers her Special very often.

Ascended Fir Weaknesses

Saturation

Ascended Fir is yet another speedy sword infantry unit in the sea of similar units in Fire Emblem Heroes. There are a lot of them out there, and some of them stand out in areas that Ascended Fir doesn't.

As an example, Fallen Byleth (F) has multiple layers of damage reduction, a pre-charged exclusive Special in Divine Pulse, a Bulwark effect to block off foes, and a Vantage effect to ensure she attacks first at all times.

Most of these speedy sword infantry units have similar checks, and players should already have these checks on their barracks.
