What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill neutralizes non-Special damage reduction effects and charges up Special post-combat. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+X to unit during combat (X = 25% of foe's Atk at start of combat, - 4; max 14; min 5) and inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack), and also, when unit's attack triggers unit's Special, neutralizes "reduces damage by X%" effects from foe's non-Special skills (excluding area-of-effect Specials). If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally and foe's attack triggers unit's Special, unit's next attack neutralizes "reduces damage by X%" effects from foe's non-Special skills (resets at end of combat). If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally and Special triggers before or during combat, grants Special cooldown count-2 after combat. |
Cooldown Count = 3 If unit's Spd ≥ foe's Spd-4 and unit's Special is ready or unit's Special triggered during combat, deals damage = 15% of unit's Spd. When Special triggers, reduces damage from foe's attack by 40%. (Special triggers only if unit's Spd ≥ foe's Spd-4.) |
If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd+7 to unit during combat, and also, if unit's Special is ready or unit's Special triggered before or during this combat, deals +5 damage during combat (except when dealing damage with area-of-effect Specials) and when unit deals damage during combat, restores 7 HP to unit. (Triggers even if 0 damage is dealt.) |
At the start of turn 1, if foe's attack can trigger unit's Special, grants Special cooldown count-2. Inflicts Spd/Def-4 on foe during combat. If a skill compares unit's Spd to a foe's or ally's Spd, treats unit's Spd as if granted +7. If unit's Spd > foe's Spd, reduces damage from attacks during combat and from area-of-effect Specials (excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials) by percentage = difference between stats x 5 (max 50%). |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |
---|---|---|
HP (18) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Atk (10) | ★★★★☆ | |
Spd (8) | ★★★★★ | |
Def (15) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Res (5) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Severa are +Spd and -Res. Severa's Spd is among the highest in the game at base 47, raised to base 51 with a superboon. She can utilize her high Spd to protect herself against other speedy foes by preventing their follow-up attacks.
Severa's Res is below average and is a safe bane to take as it is her least important stat.
We recommend +Spd when merging Severa up to +10 to retain her Spd advantage against her foes.

Buffer 4
|
Severa needs the Null Follow-Up 3 Sacred Seal to prevent enemies from utilizing guaranteed follow-up attacks or effects that deny Severa's follow-up attacks against her. Spd Smoke 4 debuffs the Spd of multiple foes and adds another layer of damage reduction to keep Severa healthy.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Severa is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Severa's Striving Sword grants bonus stats equal to 25% of her foe's Atk (up to +14) and slows down her foe's Special cooldown charges during combat.
Additionally, whenever Severa triggers her Special, her next attack neutralizes non-Special damage reduction effects, allowing her to deal significant damage against foes who are reliant on these effects. Non-Special damage reduction effects are quite common in the metagame, and Severa can easily shut those down.
Striving Sword also has a built-in Special Spiral effect which grants Severa Special cooldown count -2 after combat, allowing her to keep her Special ready at all times.
Severa lacks a Null Follow-Up effect in her base kit, allowing foes with guaranteed follow-up attacks to still attack twice. She also becomes vulnerable to effects that neutralize her follow-up attacks, negating the effectiveness of her high Spd stat.
To remedy this, either have external sources of the Null Follow-Up effect, or equip her with the Null Follow-Up 3 Sacred Seal.
Severa's Res is below average at only base 24, which leaves her vulnerable to magic damage.
Keep her away from enemies that deal magic damage to sustain her throughout multiple combats.

I don't see how this severa gets a 9.0 & "A" rating, while spring severa gets a 9.0 & "S"... this has much better inheritance options, so i can only guess that the spring version was released first, & the rating at the time was better compared to other units released around the same time? ...& no one ever comes back & updates the ratings to apply to the current meta? That would probably be too much effort to expect, but the least y'all could do is put dates on the ratings, because as it is...

the only way i can judge when looking at the heroes is if there's a comment, it tells how old the comment is, or if it has a community feedback section, that means it's a newer page than those who don't. Otherwise, when a newer player looks at these ratings, (as we get more & more heroes & look them up), some appear wildly inaccurate &/or nonsensical, compared to the current meta. Sure, long time players can tell the difference, but why would they need to visit a site like this?
