When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
+Spd / -Res
The best IVs for Alear (M) are +Spd and -Res. Alear (M) is among the fastest units in the game with his base 45 Spd, increased to base 49 through a superboon. He also has a Spd-based damage reduction effect on Libération, thus, maximizing Spd improves his combat performance the most.
His Res is below average and can be safely taken as a bane.
+Spd for a +10 merge
We recommend +Spd when merging Alear (M) up to +10 for similar reasons above. His Spd is his most important stat and should be maximized as much as possible.

How to Use, Explanation
Alear makes great use of Vital Astra with his high Spd stat. Time's Pulse 4 is used to ensure Vital Astra is available at all times. Spurn 4 is the best Spd-based damage reduction skill released so far while we wait for Velocity 4 to be released.

How to Use, Explanation
This build works similarly to the build above except it uses skills more available to all players. Spd Smoke 4 can be obtained using compiled combat manuals; other Spd boosting skills such as Joint Drive Spd can also be used if availability is an issue.

Alear (M) Roles
Alear (M) is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Alear (M) Strengths
Libération
Alear's Libération grants 【Charge】 to himself and his support partner (as long as they are within 3 spaces of Alear) at the start of each turn. 【Charge】 allows units to warp up to three spaces in cardinal directions, ignoring terrain effects that slow down (but not completely block) units. This allows units to quickly traverse the map and either mount an offensive or retreat.
Libération also grants Alear Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat and inflicts a Spd/Def penalty, scaling based on the number of allies from distinct titles in nearby spaces. This effect can scale up to Spd/Def-12 with proper teambuilding and unit placement!
Finally, Libération also grants Alear Spd-based damage reduction, up to 40%. This allows Alear to withstand heavy attacks and survive combat.
Alear (M) Weaknesses
Competition
Alear (M) is yet another sword infantry unit and IS has been releasing this unit archetype quite often.
He will suffer from competition among similar units, especially those that outspeed him and negate his Spd-based damage reduction effects.

Twztid13 almost 2 yearsI can't find speed smoke 4 via combat manuals. I found speed smoke 3 via chad, who was about to expire in 5 days. I used that since i don't know if i lose those manuals (w a 12 next to them) after the rewards disappear, so i went ahead & used them. There's still SO MUCH for new players to learn, even when we're very familiar with fire emblem games,,terms, techniques, etc. Almost overwhelming.
