+Spd/-Def

The best IVs for Nino are +Spd and -Def. A higher Spd stat allows Nino to prevent follow-up attacks against her and helps her make follow-up attacks on her own. This boosts both her offensive and survivability capabilities. Her low Def is of less importance, so it is safe to take Def as a bane.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a straightforward set that aims to maximizes Nino's offensive power. The choice of Fury 4 is to help set Desperation 3. This means you can also take Atk/Spd Push 4 in the A slot. Odd Atk Wave 3 might be an Odd choice, but consider the spec. eff. ref. of Iris's Tome. Combined, these two give Nino and team a +6 Atk bonus every turn. This means well for Nino as she runs a Blade tome set up. For the Seal slot Blade Session 3 is the superior opton, though it takes some awareness to use. If you are not comfortable using it, you can use Swift Sparrow 2 or any Seal that maximizes Atk/Spd.

How to Use, Explanation

Instead of a Desperation setup, this set relies on quick Glimmer activations to take out foes. Special Spiral 3 and Flashing Blade 3 are taken to speed up this process of Specil activations. The A slot is very flexible.

How to Use, Explanation

This build maximizes the buffs Nino receives on even turns to inflict as much damage as possible with her refined Iris's Tome. The tried and true Fury/Desperation combo improves Nino's survival while allowing her to attack consecutively once Desperation is active. Keep in mind that Nino is significantly weaker on odd turns with this build.

Nino is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Nino Strengths

Iris' Book has a Special Effect Refine

When upgraded, Iris' Tome has the same effect as Even Atk Wave 3 which boosts Nino and her allies' attack every even-numbered turn. This skill boosts the offensive power of Nino's team by a lot when utilized properly.

Versatile Movement Assist

Nino has access to the versatile assist skill Draw Back by default, which is helpful for repositoning Nino and allies out of the danger zone. It can also be used to move Nino and her allies closer to the line of battle when needed

Great Stat Distribution for a Magic User

Nino has high Atk, Spd and Res which allows her to go toe-to-toe with other magic users. Just be wary of physical attackers who have high Atk, or those carrying weapons like Brave Bow.
