| What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants Atk/Spd bonuses, steals foe's bonuses, and has a unique Canto effect. |
|
Might: 14 Range: 2 Enables 【Canto (Unit 3x3)】. Grants Spd+3. At start of combat, if foe's HP ≥ 50%, grants Atk/Spd+6 to unit during combat, deals damage = 15% of unit's Spd, and also, if foe has bonuses, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat = current bonus on each of foe's stats. Calculates each stat bonus and penalty independently. 【Canto (Unit 3x3)】 After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move to a space within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on unit. (Once per turn. Cannot attack or assist. After moving, if a skill that grants another action would be triggered (like with Galeforce), Canto will trigger after the granted action. Unit's base movement has no effect on movement granted. Granted movement treated as Warp movement.) |
|
Range: 1 Unit moves 1 space away from target ally, who moves to unit’s former position. |
|
At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd+7, but after combat, if unit attacked, deals 5 damage to unit. |
|
If a movement Assist skill (like Reposition, Shove, Pivot, etc.) is used by unit or target's unit, inflicts Atk/Res-6 on nearest foes within 4 spaces of both unit and target through their next actions. |
|
If in combat against a blue foe, disables skills of all foes, excluding foe in combat, and inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-4 on foe during combat. During combat, disables skills of all blue foes, excluding foe in combat. |

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Thief Cath are +Spd and -Def. Her Spd is a superboon and boosts her already very high Spd stat even further to guarantee she outspeeds her foes.
Her Def is a dump stat and is a safe bane to take without altering any of her matchups.
We recommend +Spd when merging Thief Cath to +10 for similar reasons above.
+Atk can also be used to boost her damage further if Spd isn't a concern.

|
This is a budget build using Thief Cath's base kit. It functions well on its own already. The C slot is flexible depending on team needs.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Thief Cath is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Thief Cath's Lofty Leaflet is a great offensive weapon which boosts Cath's Atk and Spd, steals her foe's bonuses by granting them to Cath and applying equal penalties to her foe, deals true damage based on Spd, and has 【Canto (Unit 3x3)】.
This is a new Canto mechanic only found on Thief Cath as of August 2022. It allows her to retreat to any space within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on her.
【Canto (Unit 3x3)】is a sidegrade to 【Canto (2)】. Both of them allow retreating 2 spaces, and each have their own advantages over the other.
Thief Cath's base 43 Spd increases to 47 with a superboon, and her Lofty Leaflet grants an additional +3. After merges and dragonflowers, she can have a Spd stat of 55, without other supplemental bonuses like A skills, Sacred Seals, or summoner support.
This makes Thief Cath one of the fastest units in the entire game. She can take advantage of this by winning Spd checks and ensuring she isn't doubled.
Thief Cath takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
