There are several bosses, mini bosses, and even optional bosses to fight as you search for Crystal Stars in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (TTYD) Switch Remake. Read on for a list of all bosses and mini bosses in the game and learn more about their HP, Attack, and Defense stats!

List of All Bosses in Paper Mario TTYD Switch Remake

Boss HP | Atk | Def	Description
Blooper 12 | 1 | 0	A giant, squid like thing that attacks with its ink and tentacles. Based on its dialect, it may come from the western sea.
Hooktail 20 (+10) | 5 | 1	This giant dragon attacks by munching, stomping and breathing stinky, fiery breath. She hates things that make chirping noises, especially creatures that start with "cr-" and end with "-icket".
Macho Grubba 60 | 4 | 0	Macho Grubba has the confidence to match his muscles after being powered up by the Crystal Star.
Doopliss 40 | 4/6 | 0	This is the beast that's plunged Twilight Town into the depths of fear and despair. It enjoys turning innocent people into pigs.
Cortez 20 (x3) | 4 | 1	A pirate spirit who stayed at Keelhaul Key to guard his treasure.
Smorg 4 | 3 | 0	A monster made up of tons of smaller Smorgs. It uses Smorg tentacles to attack.
Magnus Von Grapple 30 | 2 | 1	A powerful and cutting-edge robot built by X-Naut scientists. It has all the features expected of a robot, including rocket fists.
Magnus Von Grapple 2.0 70 | 6 | 2	The biggest upgrades seem to be the flying features. Watch out for the improved machine guns!
Sir Grodus 50 | 7 | 1	The nasty creature who kidnapped Princess Peach. He's into world domination. Some hobby, huh?
Shadow Queen 150 | 7 | 1	The demon who possessed Peach. She tried to cast the world into darkness, but Mario whipped her butt good. And Peach is back to normal, thank goodness!

List of All Mini Bosses

Boss HP | Atk | Def	Description
Red Bones 5 | 3 | 1	The ugly, red Dull Bones is stronger than a normal Dull Bones. Even if it's HP drops to 0, it can come back to life.
Kammy Koopa 50 | 5 | 0	An old witch who's always with Bowser. She's a nasty, magic-using crone, but you should still respect your elders! Remember that!
Bowser 30/70 | 3/7 | 1/2	Mario's fated enemy. Bowser the Koopa King is a foe to be feared. His typical turf is NOT Glitzville.
Gold Fuzzy 10 | 1 | 0	A gold-colored Fuzzy that attacks by charging at you. Unlike normal Fuzzies, it won't drain your HP.
Iron Cleft (Red) 6 | 4 | N/A	No attacks can pierce the Defense of this hard, metallic Cleft. Are they impossible to defeat???
Iron Cleft (Green) 6 | 4 | N/A	No attacks can pierce the Defense of this hard, metallic Cleft. Are they impossible to defeat??? Since this one is wearing green shoes, it must be the younger brother.
Gloomtail 80 | 8 | 2	Hooktail's brother. He's a big, dark, poison-spewing baddie. Watch out for his famous Megabreath attack!
Rawk Hawk 40 | 4 | 0	A Champion Fighter. Battling him requires a certain level of artistry. "You wanna hate me, but you can't help but love the RAAAAAAAWWWWK!"
Lord Crump 5/60 | 1/3 | 0	The X-Naut leader. He likes to attack with body-slams. Always an interesting foe...
Beldam 9/30 | 1/5 | 0	The eldest sister and leader of the Shadow Sirens, she uses magic to attack. Her personality stinks.
Marilyn 12/40 | 2/7 | 0	She's one of the Shadow Sirens, which makes her Beldam's younger sister. She has strong Attack power, so it might be best to defeat her first.
Vivian 10 | 1 | 0	One of the Shadow Sirens and Beldam's youngest sister. She's so cute, she's able to infatuate anyone.

All Optional Bosses

Boss HP | Atk | Def	Description
Gus 20 | 3 | 0	A super-annoying guy with a big spear that he tends to throw at people. Some people think he's a bunch of sass talk, but he's tough.
Atomic Boo 40 | 4 | 0	A massive creature made up of countless Boos. It attacks by breaking apart and sending out hundreds of Boos.
Bonetail 200 | 8 | 2	The oldest brother of Hooktail. He's just bones now. He's incredibly tough... Maybe even the toughest?

Paper Mario TTYD Switch Remake Bosses Overview

Major Boss Per Chapter

At every chapter of the game, you'll battle a tough boss before you can get the corresponding Crystal Star for that section of the story. You'll need to prepare Mario and your party members for the upcoming fight, so heal up and stock up on items!

You'll Also Battle Mini Bosses

You may also encounter mini bosses in the middle of these chapters. They may not be as tough as the chapter bosses, but they can deliver a fight.

Optional Boss Fights

There are three optional boss fights in the game that you can either skip or take on at any point in the game. If you want to complete your Tattle Log, you need to challenge these bosses to a fight.

Get Boss Info in Frankly's Trash Can

Bosses are a one-time fight in the game, so if you forgot or were unable to get your opponent's info and stats using Goombella's Tattle move during the fight, you can still get them after defeating the boss at Professor Frankly's house in Rogueport.

If you missed any monster information, check the professor's trash can inside his house, and you'll be able to register their stats in your Tattle Log.
