1 | Meet Doe. T at Boggly Woods near the Great Tree. |
2 | Defeat the enemies that are blocking the way to the Great Tree. |
Doe T. is a Toad who is waiting at Boggly Woods, in the area to the left of the Great Tree warp pipe entrance. He requests that you defeat the 2 Pale Piranhas and 1 Cleft that are blocking the way that leads to The Great Tree.
If you go through the Great Tree fast travel pipe to get here, you may find it more convenient to defeat the enemies before talking to Doe T. Upon defeating the enemies, Doe T. will walk up to Mario and give him the reward immediately.
Badge | BP | Location and Effect |
---|---|---|
First Attack | 1 | Location: Lovely Howz Effect: Enables First Strike, which defeats weaker enemies without going into battle. |
If you want to save time, you can knock out the enemies by attacking them in the overworld with your hammer, Koops, or Bobbery while you have the First Attack badge equipped.
Enemies in Roust These Cads! | |
---|---|
Pale Piranha x5 | Cleft x4 |
If you decide to engage each enemy in battle, you need to beat a total of 5 Pale Piranhas and 4 Clefts. Use Hammer Attacks against them instead of Jump Attacks to avoid taking damage, unless you have the Spike Shield badge equipped.
Koops is a good partner to have against these enemies, especially with his Shell Slam move, but Mario can also take them on by himself with the right badges or items. POW Blocks and the Quake Hammer attack are both great options for these enemies.
Tattle Log: List of All Enemies
Roust These Cads! from Doe T. will only be available once you finish Chapter 8 and beat the game. After the credits roll, you can go back to the Rogueport Trouble Center and accept this quest from the bulletin board.
The quest must first be accepted from the Trouble Center bulletin board before you can do any of the steps to complete it.
To get to the Trouble Center, you must first get through Gus, the guard blocking the east side of Rogueport. You can either pay him coins every time you need to pass or defeat him in combat. Once Koops joins your party, defeating him becomes much easier.
Doe T. will reward you with 30 Coins once you complete the Roust These Cads! trouble side quest.
