Easily visible right outside the Glitz Pit. Hit the hidden block first in order to get this Shine Sprite.

Found on the furthest left platform in the west entrance room of B1F.

Give Bub the Bob-omb the engineer's autograph to receive a Shine Sprite.

Found on the steps behind the station.

Near the top of the unfolding stairs after you hit the numerical switches. Throw Koops at the Shine Sprite to get it.
Poshley Heights
Outside of Poshley Sanctum, found on the right side of the entrance. Access the Shine Sprite by performing a Spring Jump.

Beyond the painting, on a ledge to the left. Cross the overhead bars.
Rogueport Sewers
Above the pedestal next to where Dazzle is found, accessed with the Spring Jump.

How to Use Shine Sprites

Used to Upgrade Mario's Party Members at Merlon's House

Paper Mario TTYD Switch Remake - Merlon - 1
Shrine Sprites are collectibles used to upgrade Mario's party members. These collectibles are relatively easier to find as they are encased inside translucent blocks.

Upgrading party members lets them learn new moves to use in battle, increase their HP, and increase the damage of their attacks.

Besides Shine Sprites, Star Pieces are the game's other main collectible.

Needs 3 Shine Sprites Per Upgrade

Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door - Three Shine Sprites
By bringing three Shine Sprites to Merlon on the east side of Rogueport, you will be able to upgrade an ally by one level.

42 Shine Sprites Needed

Each partner can be upgraded twice, which means you will need a total of 42 Shine Sprites to upgrade all seven.

Bring Merlon the Up Arrow

Paper Mario TTYD Switch Remake - Up Arrow
You will only be able to upgrade your party once until a certain point in the game.

Bring Merlon the Up Arrow after Chapter 5 to upgrade your party members a second time.

You can find the Up Arrow at Hooktail Castle.

Shine Sprites can be used to unlock music tracks of the game that you can listen to. To listen to these tracks, you need to get all Shine Sprites per chapter, as well as offer the Crystal Stars you collect at the Thousand-Year Door in Rogueport Sewers.
