The Bingo System in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (TTYD) makes battles more interesting. Getting a certain combination of icons will either hurt or help Mario and his party in the battle. Read on to learn about the Bingo System, all the icon combinations and their effects, and more!
List of Contents
An icon will appear one by one on the top-left side of the screen whenever Mario and his party hits an Action Command. If two icons match, they remain there until Mario and his party hits a third Action Command. However, if the two icons don't match, the icons will disappear and the process starts over again.
If two icons match and Mario and his party hits an additional Action Command, the Bingo! Challenge roullete will trigger.
When the Bingo! Challenge begins, players just need to try to match the third icon with the first two by pressing the A button. Matching all three icons will then trigger their effects, which can help or hurt Mario and his party.
However, if the first two icons are Poison Mushrooms, it's best not to match the third icon since it will be detrimental to Mario and his party.
