Some blocks are hidden in the overworld and will not appear unless Mario has hit them

Hidden blocks can be found in a variety of ways such as jumping, hitting them with Mario's hammer, or sometimes by tossing Koops.

	The Great Tree Found in the area with narrow paths and Piders. Throw Koops to reveal the hidden block beneath the block. Item: 1 Coin
	Glitzville Found directly under the Shine Sprite near the Glitz Pit's entrance. Reveal the hidden block by hitting it with Mario's hammer. Item: 1 Coin
	Twilight Trail Found on top of a block in the second area from Twilight Town. Item: Super Shroom

	Riverside Station Found in the area with Poison Pokeys, right above the block. Item: Thunder Rage
	Fahr Outpost Found in the area with the Warp Pipe to Rogueport Sewers. In front of the rightmost tree. Item: Double Dip P

Items That Reveal Items and Power-Ups

Mario, like in his platforming games, can hit blocks by jumping or hitting them with his hammer. You can get items, coins, and Badges from blocks and hidden blocks spread throughout the game.
