Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (TTYD) has new post game content and several changes in the game after you beat the story. Read on to learn about all the activities you can do after clearing the game!
Upon beating the game and finishing the story, you will be able to unlock two new secret bosses, Prince Mush and Whacka, that you can battle and give you new items as rewards, which are Prince Mush's Belt and Golden Whacka Bump.
When you load your save data after completing the game, the game will start at Rogueport, with in-game text between Mario and NPCs being different, matching the game's content after clearing the game.
More NPCs will also show up, so be sure to talk to everyone after your playthrough!
If you talk to Professor Frankly after clearing the game, you can ask him to tell you the contents of the box he had at the ending.
You can meet Lady Bow and her butler, Bootler, in front of Poshley Heights. She was notably a party member in Paper Mario.
After clearing the game, you will be able to find TEC-XX in B4 of X-Naut Fortress, who appeared in the game's main story.
The Pit of 100 Trials is for players who want a challenge. Give this a try if you're looking for something to test your skill!
There are Treasure Chests available at every 10th floor of the Pit. Some rewards can only be obtained this way, so make sure to prepare badges and recovery items so that you can challenge as many floors as possible.
Mario's maximum level is 99. If you're looking to optimize Mario to his highest level, consider taking on different challenges!
The game features a total of 86 badges for Mario to collect and use. These collectibles have abilities that let Mario use moves or affect stats among other effects.
You can find badges by purchasing them at different shops. Some badges can be obtained more than once, so aim to complete all 86 while trying different badge combinations!
The Tattle Log is a collection of information on enemies by Goombella using her Tattle move.
There are a total of 134 enemies that can be registered in the game, including enemies that can only be found in the 100th floor of the Pit of 100 Trials.
All Enemies in Paper Mario TTYD
Bosses are a one-time fight in the game, so if you forgot or were unable to get your opponent's info and stats using Goombella's Tattle move during the fight, you can still get them after defeating the boss at Professor Frankly's house in Rogueport.
If you missed any monster information, check the professor's trash can inside his house, and you'll be able to register their stats in your Tattle Log.
Completing all the Recipes is also an achievement in the game after you finish the story. Be sure to request 2 ingredient dishes from Zess T. as well, by completing the Seeking Legendary Book! Trouble quest.
Seeking Legendary Book! Trouble Center Walkthrough
You can obtain the Gold Medal Badge by completing all Badges, all enemies in the Tattle Log, and all the Recipes.
You can go to the Trouble Center in the eastern part of Rogueport. Here, you can find an assortment of requests from different NPCs.
There are 30 trouble requests in total, and the number of requests you can take will increase as you progress through the game.
