Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Once the game begins after some exposition and that scene with Peach, Mario and Luigi will get Mail from a Koopa Paratroopa. This Letter will contain a letter from Peach inviting Mario to Rogueport to look for treasure. |
2 | The game will start with Mario boarding a ship off to Rogueport! |
3 | Once you reach land, you can finally gain control of Mario. Head to the Save Block to your left so you don't have to go through all of that again. |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Head north from the Save Block and a cutscene will play. As the hero, you have to step in and you will be introduced into your first fight. |
2 | Once you enter the battle, Lord Crump is pretty easy, so use this chance to get yourself used to the battle system. |
3 | After the fight, head up the stairs with your new friend and you will be taken to the town square. This lady will then introduce herself as Goombella. |
4 | While talking to Goombella, Toadsworth will notice you and will tell you that Peach is missing. |
5 | After the cutscene Goombella will then join your party! She will then tell you to look for someone named Professor Frankly. Click here for Goombella's Skill Guide ► |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Look around town if you want, but if you want to progress through the story, go right near the Save Block. |
2 | Once you get to the east side of town a thief will bump into you and steal half your coins. Chase after them back into the plaza. |
3 | Head north into a dingy alley and go to your left. You will see a wooden door and the thief will be there. |
4 | Go back to the eastern part of town. Professor Frankly will be in the house next to Merlon's (the Shine Sprite upgrader). |
5 | Talk to Professor Frankly and after a bit of rambling, he will tell you to go take the Map to the legendary door. |
6 | Head outside with Professor Frankly and he will open up a Warp Pipe to Rogueport's Sewers! |
7 | Before going to Rogueport's Sewers, you need to complete the tutorial on Action Commands. Afterwards, you are now free to head down. |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | After heading down, you can head left into a doorway and visit Merluvlee. Otherwise, head right to progress the story. |
2 | Head right and Goombella will be hartasses by some Goombas. Defeat them to progress further and learn about First Strike from professor Frankly. |
3 | Climb the nearby stairs and ride the moving platform. You will see Warp Pipe behind a fence, jump into it. |
4 | Head down until you see a pair of yellow blocks near two item boxes containing a Mushroom and Fire Flower. |
5 | Break the two nearby blocks with your hammer and head down the Warp Pipe. Once you go down, take note of the Puni that will run away. |
6 | Head right and hit the ! Block to reveal a flight of stairs. There is a peelable sheet of paper but ignore that for now. Head up the stairs and turn left. |
7 | Fall down the platform by going up in order to get the Black Key. Head back down to climb the stairs again but this time, head right to the room. |
8 | Talk to the Treasure Chest and you will be tasked to find the Black key to open it. Talk to it again in order to unlock the chest and you can get the Paper Airplane Curse. |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | After getting the Paper Airplane Power-Up, head back out the room and go left to where you fell down to get the key. There is an airplane platform there. |
2 | Use the Airplane form to head left, this could be tricky at first, so use this chance to get accustomed to your new powers. |
3 | Head into the room after reaching the platform in plane mode. Feel free to explore but you can't do much in this room, so head to the center Podium. |
4 | Step onto the center Podium in order to upgrade your Map and obtain the Special Move Sweet Treat! |
5 | After upgrading your map, you will be taken out of the dungeon and Professor Frankly will teach you how to use Sweet Treat. |
6 | After the Special Move tutorial, you are told that the next Crystal Star is at Petal Meadows. Before leaving for Petal Meadows, Professor Franklin will give you the Power Smash Badge. |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Make sure you go do all you need to do but you can always come back to Rogueport. You can head back to the Sewers to progress. |
* | Make sure you go West and step on the Contact Lens and order a replacement when you drop by the Shop. This is needed in Chapter 1. |
2 | A new character will stop you once you decide to hop down the sewers. You can practice your Action Commands here, then proceed to use the pipe to proceed with the story. |
3 | Head right and you will see an Airplane platform in front of the fence with the Warp Pipe in front of it. Use it to head right but be careful of the Spiky Hat Goomba. |
4 | Go into the room and you will see a Tentacle. Hit the tentacle to start the Big Blooper Boss fight. Click here for Blooper Boss Fight Guide ► |
5 | After beating the boss, platforms will spawn. Jump on these until you see a Warp Pipe made of bricks. This will lead you into the next Chapter! |
