How to Store Items

Go to Any Item Shop

Firstly, Mario needs to go to an item shop anywhere in the world. Item shops have a signage with a Fire Flower icon on it.

All Shops and Items

Talk to the Shopkeeper and Choose the Option to Store Items

Next, Mario needs to talk to the shopkeeper there and choose the I'm here to store option.

Withdraw Items from Any Store

Once an item is stored, Mario can withdraw it in any store in the world. For example, if Mario stores an item in Rogueport, he can withdraw that item in The Great Tree, and vice versa.

How Many Items Can be Stored?

Maximum of 32 Items in Total

Mario can store up to 32 items in total. This does not mean 32 items per store, but rather in all stores combined.

How Many Items Can Mario Carry?

Up to 15 Items

Paper Mario TTYD Switch Remake - Mario

Mario can carry up to 15 items in his inventory.

In the original version of the game, Mario can only carry up to 10 items.
