The mayor of Petalburg, Mayor Kroop, lives in the only pink house in town. He aids you in your search for the first Crystal Star, and he is also featured in the 65th Trivia Quiz-Off hosted by the Thwomp in Shhwonk Fortress.

Growing in front of Mayor Kroop's house are plants that can drop Turtley Leaf. Hit them with your hammer to get one. The leaf respawns each time you enter the area.
