The Danger Mario build allows Mario to deal lots of damage while only having 5 HP in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (TTYD). Read on to find out how to make this build, how to use it, and more!
List of Contents
A Danger Mario Build is where Mario fights constantly while activating the effects of the pinch badges that are only activated when his HP is 5 or below.
The pinch badges are excellent in offense and defense, and if you equip multiple Power Rush badges which increases your attack power by 2, and perform an all-out attack, you can annihilate the enemy in one turn.
There are also badges such as Last Stand and Lucky Day that enhance durability, so even if your HP is 5, you won't be easily defeated.
You can play Danger Mario build in the remake as well. However, due to the price increase of the important badge Power Rush, it may take more time to prepare the environment.
Playing Danger Mario build will significantly reduce the difficulty of the game, and you may not be able to enjoy the game in its original way, such as cooperating with allies during battle or responding to enemies.
We recommend using it when you can't beat the boss or want to clear the story quickly.
Mario's initial HP is 10, but you can allocate 5 HP to other stats with the help of Chet Rippo in Rogueport Sewers. However, 39 coins are required to adjust the status.
Chet Rippo is located beyond the cracked wall just after entering the the sewers through the warp pipe in Rogueport. You need to use Bobbery's field ability to break the cracked wall, in order to go to Chet Rippo's place.
You must complete Chapter 5, where Admiral Bbobbery becomes your ally.

It’s the badge POWER RUSH that increases Mario’s attack by 2 when he’s in Danger. Mega Rush increases his attack by 5 only when Mario is in Peril (1 hp left) There is only one Mega Rush badge in the game, but you can get multiple Power Rush when you have the Gold Member Card (acquired from Frankie’s trouble late in the game)
