Life Shroom is simply the best items to get in Paper Mario TTYD, as this item revives either Mario or a party member whenever they are knocked out during a fight.
The item becomes more useful in long boss fights, as you can continue the battle if Mario gets knocked out. Instead of getting a game over screen and restarting the entire fight, Mario will be revived and you can continue the fight from that point.

Jelly Ultra |
Jelly Ultra is the top recovery item for Mario and his partner as it restores 50 HP and FP.
You will get some use of this item in the later stages of the game where fights may become more difficult, or when going down the Pit of 100 Trials which tend to get more difficult as you go lower.
Essentially, Jelly Ultra also combines Jammin' Jelly and Ultra Shroom, which lets you save inventory space.

Electro Pop |
Electro Pop provides some FP and also charges the user with electricity.
Using this item is not only useful to replenish some Flower Points, but is also effective against enemies that tend to use moves that make contact as they will take damage due to the user being electrified.
Electro Pop's ingredients are also easy to get, as you can buy Volt Shrooms in Rogueport and Cake Mix at the Pianta Parlor.
Electro Pop Effect and How to Get
Thunder Rage can damage a group of enemies upon using the item. It may not knock them out in one hit, but you have a chance to stun them which disables them from attacking for a few turns.
This can be useful in the middle stages of the game, where Mario and his party member may not be able to win in a single turn.

Eating a Healthy Salad restores 15 FP, which can be handy in some of the aread midgame especially if you like using moves that use Flower Points.
You can also get the its ingredients for free, as you can get Turtley Leaf in Petalburg and Horsetail in Petal Meadows at no cost at all. It is recommended to pack up a few Healthy Salads as soon as Zess T. can cook with two items.
A POW Block can easily knock out enemies with high defense in the early game, such as Clefts. It can also defeat multiple enemies early on if you want to avoid using moves that consume FP.
