The Gold Medal badge can be obtained after completing Zess T.'s Recipes, the Tattle Log, and all badges.
There are 58 recipes to cook, 134 Tattle Log Entries, 86 badges to obtain.
Getting all Star Pieces and Shine Sprites are unnecessary for obtaining the Gold Medal Badge. You only need to complete all Zess T.'s recipes, Tattle Log, and all badges.
This badge will change Mario's appearance to a gold color and costs 0 BP to equip. This does not affect any of his stats or abilities, and is merely a cosmetic upgrade.
