Description One of the Shadow Sirens, Vivian suffers from a bit of an inferiority complex. Press the X button to hide with Mario in the shadows. When hiding, nobody can find you.

0 FP 		Punch a grounded or aerial enemy with a shadowy fist that has a chance to burn. Burned enemies take passive damage each turn.
Action Command: Press the corresponding button once it is revealed on the screen.
Stylish Move: Press the A button once Vivian returns beside Mario.
Veil
1 FP 		Prevent both Mario and Vivian from taking damage by hiding in the shadows. This is a two-turn move for Vivian, with their return to the stage counting as the second turn.
Action Command: Press the correct buttons following the button sequence shown on the screen.
Stylish Move: Press the A button once Vivian returns to her original position beside Mario on the second turn.
Fiery Jinx
(Super)
6 FP 		Cast a spell that burns all enemies on the stage while also doing damage. Burned enemies take passive damage each turn.
Action Command: Press the correct buttons as each button shows up on the screen.
Stylish Move: Press the A button as Vivian raises her finger to cast the spell.
Infatuate
(Ultra)
4 FP 		Confuse each enemy on the stage by blowing them kisses one-by-one. Confusion may cause enemies to attack their allies or heal your party.
Action Command: Press the A button when a heart appears over an enemy.
Stylish Move: Press the A button right after pressing A for the Action Command.

Vivian is able to grab Mario and hide into the shadows when you press the X button. While hidden, Mario will be invulnerable to any overworld traps, and enemies will not be able to locate him.

Vivian is a party member that will join Mario's adventure as you progress through the game.

Initially, Vivian is one of the three Shadow Sirens who will try to stop Mario from continuing his journey to find all the Crystal Stars and even fight him. 

But during Chapter 4, a clueless Vivian will befriend Mario after Doopliss steals the plumber's identity. Vivian will be disappointed after learning that she actually helped Mario, but she will join his team as he is the first person to show her kindness.

How to Beat Vivian Mini Boss

  1. Defeat Marilyn First
  2. Use Spread Attacks

Defeat Marilyn First

When fighting with the shadow trio, you should prioritize defeating Marilyn first because she has a charge that increases her attack power by 2.

Then take down Beldam second, who can decrease your party's attack power and increase theirs. Lastly, defeat Vivian who has the lowest attack power among the three.

Use Spread Attacks

Paper Mario TTYD Switch Remake - Use Spread Attacks

Using spread attacks, which can damage multiple enemies at once, such as Earth Tremor, Koops' Power Shell move, and Quake Hammer, are very effective against the shadow trio.
