How to Beat Doopliss in Chapter 4
- Vivian Joins Your Party After Two Turns

Vivian Joins Your Party After Two Turns
At first, Mario will fight alone against Doopliss, but right after two turns, Vivian will join your party. It is highly recommended to have Mario's HP high enough to take concentrated damage in two turns.
How to Get Vivian as Party Member
Focus All Your Attacks on Doopliss
Defeating Doopliss will make you win the battle instantly, so you need to focus all your attacks on the ghost and don't mind attacking its partner.
Vivian's Shade Fist is Very Effective
Using Vivian's Shade Fist move is very effective against Doopliss because it puts the ghost on a burned status effect and deals fire damage that reduces its HP by 1 each turn.
Note that the burned status effect lasts for two turns, so remember to use Shade Fist again when the status effect wears off.
How to Beat Doopliss in Chapter 8
Defeat Beldam First
 Doopliss Priority: Low |
 Marilyn Priority: Medium |
 Beldam Priority: High |
When fighting with the new shadow trio, you should prioritize defeating Beldam first because she has the lowest HP among the three, but she also has the highest damage attack among them.
Then take down Marilyn second, whom has the highest HP and has a powerful spread attack. Lastly, defeat Doopliss to win the battle against the new shadow trio.
Use Spread Attacks
Prioritize in using spread attacks, which damages multiple enemies at once, against the new shadow trio, such as Bobbery's Bob-ombast and Yoshi's Stampede.
While your partners deal spread attacks, use Mario's jump attacks to target Beldam at the back.
