The effect of badges stack in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (TTYD). Read on to learn which badges are good to stack and are good to try out!
List of Contents
You can equip multiples of the same badge, and its effects will stack.
Equipping two badges that automatically recover HP will recover a maximum of 2 HP. Equipping multiple attack badges will increase your damage at the cost of more FP consumption.
Mario's Badge Point, or BP, can be increased to a maximum level of 99, so you are able to equip 99 duplicate badges that requires 1 BP.
There are a couple of badges whose effects do not stack. Like Attack FX G and Timing Tutor badges, which can be obtained in the early game, it makes no sense to stack them because of their effects.
Power Rush
(As Many as Possible) |
Last Stand |
Power Rush is the strongest badge to equip, especially when multiples are used. By keeping Mario's HP low, and by using the Last Stand badge, Mario can consistently beat all enemies without getting KOd, including bosses, in a single attack.
This is a great combination for speed running the game, so consider not using this if you want a challenge!
Defend Plus
(As Many as Possible) |
Flower Saver |
Equipping as many Defend Plus as possible will allow Mario to be immensely tanky, resisting most damage.
Flower Saver is a good addition to this build as it can help you be more efficient with your FP usage. allowing you to have more FP for moves.
