Doopliss is the ghost's name in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (TTYD), but you will not be able to name them when asked for the first time. Read on to lnow the ghost's name, and learn more about the mysterious ghost in Chapter 4 and how to get the lowercase letter P!
The ghost's name in Twilight Trail is Doopliss, who is the major boss of Chapter 4 and the one behind the curse in Twilight Town.
Even if you know the ghost's name beforehand, you will not be able to give its name as the lowercase 'p' is missing in the prompt. The closest you can get is Doo_liss, which the game will not accept.
You will be forced to give the wrong name and fight Doopliss, which you need to run away from.
To give Doopliss their real name, you need to get the lowercase letter 'p', which is a key item, deep inside Creepy Steeple's treasure room that has a parrot in it. You need not worry though, as Vivian will be joining your team as you fight through the area as an identity-less Shadow Mario.
Once inside, talk to the parrot, then use Vivian's field ability to hide in the shadows. The parrot will then say Doopliss' name out loud.
After that, go back near Twilight Town and reveal Doopliss' identity. Doopliss will run back to Creepy Steeple, where you need to go after it and defeat it to complete the chapter.
