How to Use Star Pieces

Used to Purchase Badges from Dazzle

There are 100 Star Pieces to collect in the game, which can then be used to purchase Badges from Dazzle in Rogueport Sewers.

How to Find Dazzle

1	Access Rogueport Sewers through a Warp Pipe.
2	Enter the area immediately to your left.
3	Dazzle will be found in front of the house with the green door.

Star Pieces can be used to unlock concept art for the game. To view these, you need to get all Star Pieces per chapter, as well as offer the Crystal Stars you collect at the Thousand-Year Door in Rogueport Sewers.

How to Find Star Pieces

Find Them Hidden in the Environment

Star Pieces can be found hidden in the game's beautiful environments. They can be found in hard-to-see places so stay alert!

Check Behind Objects

Star Pieces are often behind objects, so you will have to make an effort to really explore the game's environment. Badges and items can also be hidden this way, so treat this like a treasure hunt!

Use Mario's Spin Jump to Flip Tiles

Mario's boots will be upgraded to Super Boots in Chapter 2. This will allow him to use Spin Jump, a ground pound that can flip hidden tiles overworld.

These tiles are difficult to find as they will appear as normal surfaces, so it is recommended to ask predictions from Merluvlee or constantly Spin Jump wherever you go to uncover hidden flippable tiles.

What are Star Pieces?

One of the Game's Main Collectibles

Star Pieces are shiny, diamond-shaped collectibles that are scattered all over the game's map. These are relatively hard to find as they are not visible in the overworld.

Besides Star Pieces, Shine Sprites are the game's other main collectible.
