Players can get prone kills by killing other players while prone or drop shotting in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Read on to learn what prone kills are, and how to get prone kills!

What are Prone Kills?

Kills Done while Prone

Prone kills are essentially kills done while prone. This challenge is easier done when camping but experienced players can use the drop shotting strategy to stay mobile during matches.

Remember to stay vigilant while camping, as aggressive players can flush you out. We recommend setting traps like claymores to avoid being flanked.

How to Get Prone Kills

Use Assault Rifles and SMGs

It's easier to get prone kills in small maps with rifles, as they give more mobility to players than LMGs. SMGs are also a viable option, however, assault rifles have a farther damage range.

With assault rifles and SMGs, players have the option to camp spots, or reposition while drop shotting to get prone kills.

Snipers for Big Maps

For game modes with large maps like Ground War or Invasion, snipers are favorable as you can choose and camp at a vantage point or hiding spot to pick off enemies while prone.
