Recommended Weapons in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) are tagged weapons indicating their relevance to various features such as challenges. Read on to see a list of all recommended weapons and to learn the Recommended Weapons icon meaning.
Recommended Weapons are specific weapons that are tagged with an orange fire icon in the Loadout select menu. Recommended Weapons are on a rotation, so the weapons with the tag will change and aren't permanent. So far, the Recommended Weapons are the same for Season 0's Week 1 and 2 challenges.
For Season 0 Week 1 and 2 Challenges, most of the challenges are to get Operator Kills with a Recommended Weapon. Notably, all Recommended Weapons on launch are Modern Warfare 3 exclusive guns, which could be the developers trying to push players towards the new weapons.
