When fighting in close-quarters, try to pre-fire before aiming down sights as you lock into your target. You might get the advantage in the fight by hitting your shots first than when you ADS first and then start shooting.
In medium to long range fights, accuracy matters more, making ADS almost a requirement. Acquire your target through ADS before firing to increase your accuracy and ensure you hit your shots.
If you're in a situation where the enemy has their backs towards you, take your time to aim down sights and line up a headshot. This will drastically increase your chances of killing the enemy without even getting to fight back.
Aim Down Sights, commonly referred to as ADS or Aiming Down Sights, is an essential mechanic for engaging in gunfights to hit shots accurately.
Using ADS will utilize your equipped gun's optics attachment, or iron sights if it has none. This greatly helps in target acquisition and tracking the enemy.
The guns with the fastest ADS times are Handguns and Submachine Guns. They are guns that excel in close-quarters combat and using ADS won't put you at a disadvantage unlike the bigger guns like Assault Rifles and Light Machine Guns.
