Crimson Desert Says The Game Is Huge in Exclusive Interview Ahead of March Release

Crimson Desert developer Will Powers from Pearl Abyss answers the fans’ burning questions in an exclusive interview. Powers reveals that players can fight and fly on dragons, while also clarifying that it is impossible to breed them.
He also answers that, while the game is approximately twice the size of Skyrim, "numbers don’t really do it justice", as they are more intent on filling the world with activities for players to do. Powers goes on to say that their goal is to create unique experiences for different people through the wide variety of side quests and interactions in the world. Powers also discussed the Aerial Abyss, story-relevant sky islands filled with puzzles and rewards for completing them.

Where Winds Meet’s upcoming final boss, Phantom, will be released in the Kaifeng Chapter of the main story alongside the 1.2 version update on January 9, 2026. Players will be transported to ink and paper battlegrounds to fight the painted boss, as it shapes itself to take on different forms throughout the four phases of the battle.

Gallipoli Marches To The Battlefield in 2026

Gallipoli is the fourth entry in the WW1 Game Series by developer BlackMil Games. This new title focuses on the Middle Eastern Front, depicting the 915 Gallipoli Campaign and the Mesopotamian Campaign.
It is a tactical, squad-based multiplayer first-person shooter that emphasizes historical authenticity, featuring realistic weaponry, period-accurate uniforms, and maps based on the actual topographic data of the Dardanelles and the Ottoman Empire.

Starfinder Afterlight, Now Has Full Voice Acting

Starfinder Afterlight is a party-based sci-fi RPG by Epictellers Entertainment. After the success of their Kickstarter campaign, the developers have now added full voice acting to the game. Roger Clark, who played Arthur Morgan from 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2, plays the narrator of the game.
The developer showcased the combat abilities of the companions, Sterling, a melee attacker, and Lu-323, a support character. They also go into detail that the game was inspired by Pathfinder Second Edition’s "battle-tested" combat system, using three actions per turn. It was also stated that it was a deliberate decision to stray away from using a grid-based system, which would’ve given the game the feel of a tabletop simulator.
Starfinder Afterlight is set to release the first 10 hours on Early Access Steam next year. A full release date has yet to be announced.

Shadow of the Road Is Bioshock But In Japan

Indie developer Another Angle Games teams up with Owlcat Games in this narrative-heavy isometric turn-based game where humans, yōkai, and killer machines clash amid the chaotic backdrop of civil unrest in 1868 Japan.
Shadow of the Road reimagines and condenses the conflict between traditionalism and imperial modernization, represented by the Tokugawa shogunate and the forces of Emperor Mutsuhito, whose forces are bolstered in the game by the fictional British East Nippon Company.
Players will act as a "master strategist" who will lead their chosen group of warriors, each with their own skillset and personality

Avowed Teases Anniversary Update, PS5 Version Coming On February 17th

Deep Dish Dungeon, A New Survival Dungeon Crawler, Coming Soon

Deep Dish Dungeon is an upcoming survival dungeon-crawling game from Behold and Raw Fury. Expect Metroidvania elements, a crafting system, cooking, hand-crafted dungeons, deadly enemies, and both solo and online co-op multiplayer. The game is now available for wishlisting on Steam, with no release date revealed as of this reveal.

Blind Descent Can Now Be Wishlisted for PC, Xbox, and PS5

Blind Descent is an upcoming open world survival game by Turkish-based developer Pokuch set in a Martian world rife with rare biological marvels, some of which are as hostile as they are magnificent. Descend into a deep Martian cave all alone or with your friends via online co-op and craft the necessary tools for your survival as you search for an expedition team lost in the planet’s depths.
There is no release date set for Blind Descent, but it will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and the PlayStation 5.

What To Expect In The New Game+ Showcase
A New Showcase Featuring 45 Games
As announced on their social media posts, viewers will be treated to a whole 3 hours and 30 minutes of exclusive game footage and developer interviews from a curated selection of 45 games ranging from indie titles to AAA giants. In anticipation for the upcoming showcase, they released a Hype Trailer that previewed footage of all games coming to the show, with some eagle-eyed gamers catching familiar-looking snippets from titles such as:

They have also clarified on their X (Twitter) through a reply that there are "no world premieres" in this showcase, but instead will focus on showcasing "really cool games you might not have heard of or seen much of yet!"

On January 7th at around 7PM PT / 10PM ET, the New Game+ Showcase team revealed the numerous game development companies, both indie and AAA, that are set to make an appearance on the livestream. Renowned names in gaming such as Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Obsidian Entertainment, THQ Nordic, Xbox Game Studios, and more can be seen on the promotional image alongside breakout indie studios like Draconic Interactive, Hologryph, and Double Moose.
Some companies have directly reacted to the initial showcase announcement post and have confirmed their participation early on, such as Obsidian Entertainment, DON’T NOD, Paradark Studio, and Distant Shore, among others.

The New Game+ Showcase is a whole new showcase spearheaded by Gaming World Media and a group of well-known gaming creators, namely Luke Stephens, Luality, IAmRob, Blue Thunder, HUN2R, and Jake Lucky.
