Terminus Outcomes Strongholds are just normal Mercenary Strongholds in Zombies mode of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Learn what Terminus Outcomes Strongholds are and how to clear Strongholds.
What are Terminus Outcomes Strongholds?
Just Regular Mercenary Strongholds
Terminus Outcomes Strongholds are just normal Mercenary Strongholds; there's no difference other than the label. During the Infiltrator mission, you'll be given the task to clear a Terminus Outcomes Stronghold, but clearing a regular Mercenary Stronghold will check off this objective.
Infested Strongholds Don't Count

Note that you have to clear a Mercenary Stronghold, not an Infested Stronghold. These have different markers on the map and have different clear objectives. The Infested Stronghold pits you against Zombies, while Mercenary Strongholds pits you against Mercenary grunts.
How to Clear Terminus Outcomes Strongholds
Obtain Stronghold Keycard
To access the Terminus Outcomes Strongholds, you'll need to get your hands on a Stronghold Keycard first. There are three ways to obtain a Stronghold Keycard:
- Purchase at a Buy Station for 2,000 Essence.
- Loot from enemies in Merc Convoys and Merc Outposts.
- Open Caches scattered all over the map.
Purchasing from a Buy Station is recommended as it's safer and more reliable since you don't need to track and take down enemies.
How to Get Stronghold Keycards Fast
Defeat All Mercenary Grunts and Drill the Safe
To clear the Terminus Outcomes Stronghold, eliminate all the Mercenary Grunts inside. Afterward, locate the large safe found within the Stronghold and drill into it in order to acquire its contents.
After clearing the Terminus Outcomes Stronghold and opening the safe you need the Fortress Keycard - Legacy, as that's the Terminus Outcomes Record needed to clear the Infiltrator mission.
