The FFAR 1 is an Assault Rifle that is similar to the AK-74, but with less damage and very manageable recoil. To keep up with the other guns that have better base stats, focus on increasing its Firepower and Accuracy through multiple attachments.
The Muzzle Brake will help you with it slow kick reset speed to allow you to fire shots with minimal accuracy penalties. Other attachments like the Ranger Foregrip, Commando Grip, and Light Stock are for improving the gun handling while moving and shooting.
For additional damage, you can equip the 5.56 NATO Overpressured and the Reinforced Barrel. You should also equip the Extended Mag I to accomodate its low magazine size and its slightly slow reloading speed. As for the optic, you can go with any sight with clear sight picture like the Merlin Mini.

FFAR 1 does not work with the typical Run and Gun setup since it's far better on medium to long-range gunfights. The best way to play it is to run a Recon setup and try to get kills in a semi-open areas (usually around the edge of the map) while you let your aggressive teammates control those tight spaces and the central part of the map.
