List of Contents
Best Starting Weapon | |
---|---|
How to Unlock | Unlocks at account level 31. |
Zombies Mode ASG-89 Attachments | |
Muzzle | Suppressor |
Barrel | Short Barrel |
Underbarrel | Ranger Foregrip |
Magazine | Extended Mag II |
Rear Grip | CQB Grip |
Stock | Light Stock |
Rear Grip | Tactical Laser |
Fire Mod | Rapid Fire |
The ASG-89 shotgun is the best zombies weapon for Zombies Mode since it is able to quickly deliver lots of damage quickly, making it great for clearing zombie hordes, elites, and even bosses with the highest rarity and Pack-a-Punch upgrades. This is also the best weapon to use in The Tomb easter egg, against the Sentinel Artifact boss.
Get the Suppressor to ensure you can get as much Salvage as you can from zombies. Take Extended Mag II for sustained shotgun fire against hordes and bosses and Rapid Fire for an ever better fire rate. Add a Tactical Laser for Tactical Stance, a wider view that still gives some benefit of ADS accuracy.
You'll want to have all of the mobility you can get, so equip the CQB Grip, Light Stock, Ergonomic Grip, and the Short Barrel for overall speed improvements. Lastly, add the Ranger Foregrip for a last speed improvement to sprinting and add recoil control.
How to Unlock | Unlocked by default. |
---|---|
Zombies Mode XM4 Attachments | |
Optic | Merlin Mini |
Muzzle | Suppressor |
Barrel | Reinforced Barrel |
Underbarrel | Ranger Foregrip |
Magazine | Extended Mag III |
Stock | Light Stock |
Rear Grip | Quickdraw Grip |
Fire Mods | Rapid Fire |
The XM4 Assault Rifle is a great all-around weapon for Zombies Mode due to its large array of attachments. This is also the go-to pick due to its 100-round Extended Mag III (200 with Pack-a-Punch), the largest magazine attachment for any of the Assault Rifles.
Increase Salvage drops with the Suppressor, then attach the Ranger Foregrip and Light Stock for increased overall speed to outrun zombies on regular movement and sprint. Add the Quickdraw Grip for more ADS speed, then the Reinforced Barrel for more range and bullet velocity.
To deal the most damage against spongy enemies, add the Rapid Fire mod. The XM4 still has acceptable recoil even with this fire mod, so it should be good for most cases in Zombies Mode. Finish off the build with the Merlin Mini or any optic of your choice.
How to Unlock | Unlocks at account level 37. |
---|---|
Zombies Mode PP-919 Attachments | |
Optics | Accu-Spot Reflex |
Muzzle | Suppressor |
Barrel | Long Barrel |
Magazine | Extended Mag I |
Rear Grip | Quickdraw Grip |
Stock | No Stock |
Laser | Steady Aim Laser |
Fire Mods | Rapid Fire |
The PP-919 SMG is the best next alternative starting loadout. When upgraded with Pack-a-Punch, the weapon with Extended Mag I holds 340 rounds per clip, making it a highly efficient weapon to use against hordes while still having a faster reload than most guns.
Rapid Fire is recommended for since it still has a slower rate of fire than most other Assault Rifles and SMGs. Add the Suppressor for more Salvage drops. For a faster ADS speed, equip the Quickdraw Grip, and if you're going into a hipfire situation with hordes, we recommend the Steady Aim Laser.
Equip the Long Barrel to make the PP-919 deal more consistent damage against farther enemies, then finally add an Accu-Spot Reflex or any preferred optic.
Melee | Knife |
---|---|
Field Upgrade | Healing Aura |
Tactical | Decoy |
Lethal | Impact Grenade |
For equipment, the Knife, though slower than your fists, is kept as your default melee option for any early game ammo saving. For the Field Upgrades, the Healing Aura gives the best team support since it revives team members.
You may opt for the Frenzied Guard in a premade team composition for crowd control if one or more teammate can use the Healing Aura, or Aether Shroud upgraded with the Group Shroud augment for an alternative option to escaping enemies or the effect of Idle Eyes.
List of Zombies Equipment and Gear
GobbleGum | Progress Level | Effect |
---|---|---|
Who's Keeping Score | 11 | Spawns a Double Points Power-Up |
Cache Back | 15 | Spawns a Max Ammo Power-Up |
Exit Strategy | 23 | Activate exfil vote immediately and reduce zombie spawns during exfil |
Profit Sharing | 29 | A portion of the essence you earn is also received by nearby players and vice versa for 2 minutes |
Free Fire | 36 | Firing weapons consumes no ammo for the next 60 seconds |
The above are recommended to bring at the start of a mission if you plan to go for long rounds or Easter Eggs.
For starting GobbleGums in an ordinary Zombies match game (such as playing only to maximize Zombies rounds), we opted to go with Rare and Epic rarity GobbleGums since they are much more accessible than Legendary types. You can opt for Legendaries and Ultras when doing main easter egg quests which involve bosses.
GobbleGum | Progress Level | Effect |
---|---|---|
Phoenix Up | - | Revive all teammates and they keep their Perks |
Power Keg | - | Spawns a Full Power Power-up |
Cache Back | 15 | Spawns a Max Ammo Power-Up |
Free Fire | 36 | Firing weapons consumes no ammo for the next 60 seconds |
Idle Eyes | 45 | All zombies will ignore players and stand idle for 30 seconds |
When doing Zombies Easter Egg main quests, above are the recommended GobbleGums to bring. This considers working together also in a team, with Power Keg and Cache Back (especially important for The Tomb) being notable Rare types to improve your team's Field Upgrade synergy and ammo economy.
