Ascension is the final Act 4 mission in Season 5 Reloaded and the final Zombies story mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Read on to see the objectives, rewards, and a full walkthrough for the Ascension Story Mission!

1 | Investigate the Anomaly Go to the Dark Aether Rift located in the area of zone F5, at the top of the palace south of Old Town in the High Threat Zone. It should be marked on your Tac-Map with an exfil icon with a star. |

2 | Enter the Dark Aether On the palace roof, look for a gazebo with the Dark Aether Rift portal inside. Interact with it to enter the Dark Aether area and begin the mission. If you're in a squad, every member should vote "yes" via the Tac-Map to be able to enter the rift. Once the required number of votes is reached, a 10-second countdown will ensue, and your whole squad will then be transported to the Dark Aether. |
3 | Approach the Tower Upon arriving at the Aether Rift, head forward and use the blue crystal ramps to jump navigate rooftops and move towards the tower (skyscraper) with a floating boat above it. Destroy red crystals that are blocking the ramps to use them. As you approach the tower, you will receive an objective from Dr. Jansen to look for Energy Sources and cleanse nearby relics as you go. |
4 | Go to the Energy Sources After Dr. Jansen's dialogue about energy sources, you will get an objective about cleansing relics. Navigate to the areas with yellow light pillars and search for the 4 blue glowing relics around it. Interact with a relic to bring it to the pillar. Once all relics have been transferred, interact with the pillar to activate it. Protect Dr. Jansen while she interacts with the energy source by killing the approaching zombies. |
5 | Find Remaining Energy Source After the first energy source has been fully cleansed, Dr. Jansen will ask you to look for another one. Spot the last energy source near the skyscraper, then head over there and repeat the same objective of cleansing nearby relics and killing zombies for Dr. Jansen. |
6 | Jump to the Tower After clearing the last energy source, Dr. Jansen will ask you to head to the tower (the skyrscraper in the middle of area). Use the crystal ramps to propel yourself to the side of the tower, then navigate to the side until you find a spot where you can ride the floating train. If you happen to fall far from the tower, look for a green portal nearby to take you back to the rooftops. |
7 | Ride the Floating Train At the side of the Tower, ride the floating train taking you a floating platform. Get on the platform and then head over to the other side. |
8 | Ride the Floating Boat Jump on the floating boat, this will take you straight to the top of tower. |
9 | Use the Blue Crystal at the End On the top of the tower, fight your way through zombies and break the red crystal blocking the blue crystal ramp at the end. Use the ramp to jump into the green portal above the tower. |
10 | Cross the Floating Isles After teleporting from the Tower, cross the floating isles by using the blue crystal ramps. The path should be linear from here. |
11 | Jump to the Side of the Floating Truck While crossing the floating isles, you will come across an area with two floating trucks with boards. Use the blue crystal ramp to jump and land on the side of the board, then wait for the truck to bring you to the other isle. Continue on from there. |
12 | Reach the End of the Isles At the end of the series of isles will be a portal. Use the last blue crystal ramp to jump into it and teleport to a floating barge. |
13 | Go to the End of the Barge At the barge, head to the side and enter through the interior, fighting against hordes of zombies. Reach the other end of the barge and use the orange portal to be teleported to an isle before the boss area. |
14 | Jump and Parachute Into the Boss Arena After teleporting from the barge, jump off the end of the island and parachute your way into the series of isles ahead (these isles will be the boss area). Approach the main isle with the altar to start the battle with the Entity. |
15 | Destroy the Entity Once you approach the island with the altar, the Entity will be summoned. Damage the Entity by shooting at the weakpoints appearing on her body. Use the jump crystals around the area to evade her AoE attacks and get near her during phases where you must guard Dr. Jansen. |
16 | Get Mr. Peeks from the Rewards Rift Defeating the Entity will summon a reward rift at the main island with the altar. Obtain Mr. Peeks from the reward rift. |
17 | Escape the Rift Afterwards, escape the Rift by taking the rift portal at the altar. |
