HRM-9 Attachment Setup

The HRM-9 has pretty good recoil control even on full auto, making it great for quick kills at short to medium ranges. To make it even more effective for pushing and CQB, we'll want to turn it into a suppressed variant, all while solving the issue of its low-capacity magazine.

Attach the Shadowstrike Suppressor S to make yourself undetectable by radar when firing. Then, attach the Bruen Pivot Vertical Grip and the PCS-90 Assault Grip to make recoil a non-issue entirely. Finally, slap on a 50 Round Drum to give yourself a bit of staying power during prolonged gunfights.

As for your Optic, it honestly varies by preference. However, we chose the fan-favorite Slate Reflector for its clear and unobstructed sight picture, perfect when doing fast-paced pushes and rotations around the map.

HRM-9 Loadout Setup

Since you'll want to constantly be pushing enemy spawns, this loadout and perk setup makes it so that you're effectively invisible on radar while allowing you to resupply behind enemy lines.

The Assassin Vest and Ghost T/V Camo make sure that you're invisible to all enemy recon killstreaks, while the Covert Sneakers are there to silence your footsteps. Equip the Scavenger Gloves to unlock the ability to resupply ammo from dead enemies.

To round it all off, equip the Renetti as your secondary since it's one of the better quickswap handguns due to its quick TTK. Even in its base version, this handgun can function as a primary weapon in a pinch.

Bugged Out Magazine Unlocks Now Work for HRM-9

Previously, the HRM-9 was saddled with a bug that prevented it from unlocking its useable Magazine Attachments. As of writing, this bug has been fixed! Players who could not previously unlock the magazines will be granted access to them.

How to Get HRM-9

Complete Its Armory Unlock Challenge

The HRM-9 can be unlocked by completing its Armory Unlock Challenge. Mark it as your active Armory Unlock and complete 3 Daily Challenges to unlock the weapon.

Note: Armory Unlock challenges are only accessible upon reaching account level 25. Failing to meet this requirement will prevent you from crediting daily challenge completions towards unlocking the HRM-9.

Armory Unlocks Explained

Originally Released During Season 1

During Season 1 the HRM-9 can obtained by reaching and completing the Classified Sector of the S1 Battle Pass.

Just like in MW2, the Classified Sector and the new HRM-9 SMG are available via the Free Rewards Track of the S1 Battle Pass. You do not need to buy the Premium Battle Pass to get the HRM-9.
