Double XP Dates and Schedule

Double XP or 2XP is a feature in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) where your earned XP gets doubled after a match. Read on to see the Double XP dates and schedule, and find out how to obtain Double XP tokens in the game!

Double XP Dates and Schedule

December 21, 2023 to December 25, 2023

All players can participate in the Double XP Weekend Event and earn two times the XP for all levels, including the Battle Pass, starting on December 21, 2023, at 10 AM PT up to December 25, 2023.

For players who previously attained Player Level or Rank 55, they can take advantage of this event to speed through the heavy grind of the Prestige ranks and earn cosmetic rewards such as Calling Cards and Emblems!

How to Get Double XP

Activate Double XP Tokens

You can get two times the XP by activating Double XP Tokens in MW3. There are three different types of XP Tokens in the game and they will each have their own unique icon to avoid confusion.

• Double XP Token: Affects XP gains for Player Levels.
• Double Weapon XP Token: Affects XP for weapon progression.
• Double Battle Pass XP Token: Affects how fast you can get Battle Pass tokens.

Tokens that you get will vary by duration. They can either last for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, or 1 Hour. Make sure you activate the correct duration depending on the length of your gaming session.

Participate in Double XP Events

Players can also participate in Double XP Events to get twice the amount of XP for their Player Level, Weapon levels, and Battle Pass levels, throughout the duration of the event. MW3 will have its second Double XP Event on December 21, 2023 at 10AM PT until December 25, 2023.

Play the MW3 Campaign

Some MW3 Campaign Missions reward Double XP Tokens for clearing them. Make sure to play through the campaign at least once to get the rewards since they are granted even when completing the missions on the lowest difficulty!

Progress the Battle Pass

Double XP Tokens are common rewards in the Premium reward track of the Battle Pass. Progress the Battle Pass to get the Double XP rewards on all the sectors. If you're playing using a Free Battle Pass, do note that the number of Double XP Tokens you can earn will be much more limited than the Premium reward track.

Collect Daily Login Bonuses

Double XP Tokens are sometimes given out as a Daily Login Bonus for all players. Events that have Daily Login Bonuses are always announced ahead of time, so watch out for them!

Purchase Store Bundles

A few Store Bundles include Double XP Tokens as part of their pack contents. You can purchase Store Bundles using COD Points or real world money via the in-game Store.

Participate in Events and Promotions

Participating in MW3 events and promotions will sometimes net you some Double XP Tokens. However, do note that not all events and promotions will give Double XP Tokens. If you want the tokens specifically, make sure to scope out a Promotion's rewards before you participate.
