Berenica is an Umbro DPS unit that specializes in dealing damage with her Consonance Weapon. With that in mind, you would want her Demon Wedges to increase Skill DMG, Umbro DMG, and ATK. You also want to keep using her skills, so getting Max Sanity and Skill Efficiency is ideal.
As for her Consonance Weapon, focus on increasing its Slash ATK, ATK Speed, Trigger Probability, and ATK to deal a lot of damage during her Netherflames state.

How to Play Berenica
- Slash Through Enemies with Faintlight
- Fire Swordwaves with Netherflames
- Restore Sanity with Faintlight or Sword Attacks
Slash Through Enemies with Faintlight
Berenica's Skill, Faintlight, allows her to dash forward and slice through enemies. This skill can be used multiple times and each attack can chain into another one.
While it is fun to dash through enemies, it is better to consume Sanity to use her Consonance Weapon instead due to better damage output.
Fire Swordwaves with Netherflames
Netherflames unleashes Berenica's Consonance Weapon, Ymir. When Ymir is equipped, Berenica has hitstun immunity and she can fire Swordwaves towards enemies, all while hovering in the air keeping her safe from melee attackers.
These Swordwaves are ranged attacks and will consume Sanity. Berenica sheathes Ymir when the Skill is used again or when she runs out of Sanity.
Restore Sanity with Faintlight or Remanent Reminiscence Attacks
Berenica can restore her own Sanity when she uses Faintlight or attacks with the Remanent Reminiscence.
Afterburn will enhance that by not consuming any Sanity when Berenica uses Faintlight for the first time after using Netherflames.
How to Get Berenica
Available via the Mail Feature
Berenica is a free character that you can unlock by progressing the story up to unlocking the mail feature. Once you unlock the Mail feature, you will be able to get her alongside Rebecca.
Get Through the Secret Letter System
Most of the characters in Duet Night Abyss can be obtained through the Secret Letter system. Using 10 Secret Letter Clues, you can buy the Secret Letter of Berenica, which can be opened after completing a Covert Commission stage.
After opening a Secret Letter, it has a chance to drop a Thought. You then need 30 pieces of a Thought to unlock Berenica. Do note that Secret Letters are not guaranteed to drop a Thought!
Use Phoxene Plumule to Buy Thoughts
If you go to the Shop via the pause menu, you can buy a character's Thought for 150 Phoxene Plumule, which is the game's premium currency and can be bought using real money.

The pistol choice is wrong the second and first option for the ranged weapons should be swapped with each other. Berry need (Skill DMG) so the "Excresduo" are better for her. The "Bluecurrent Pulse" dual pistols are for Lynn.
