It's recommended to use characters that have strong Summon Skills as well as Area-of-Effect (AoE) attacks for Excavation ∞ Commissions as swarms of enemies will come attacking from all directions.
You must pacify these groups of enemies using Summon Skills that ideally have multiple hits or multi-target hits.

Covert Commissions let you customize the type of rewards available. You may go to the Shop menu and buy Secret Letters of the character, weapon, or Demon Wedge that you want to obtain, and then select it before beginning the Covert Commission.

Search and Activate Three Excavators
Follow the in-game marker to find the site for the device called Excavator. Upon reaching the location, an Excavator will activate. There are a total of three Excavators you must activate to finish the commission.
Defeat Porter Filthoids to Get Excavator Modules
Excavators require cube-like items called Excavator Modules to fully finish. These are acquired by defeating Porter Filthoids, which are flying enemies that have large orange glowing lower bodies. Porter Filthoids will spawn along with other enemies to attack you while you defend the Excavator.
Bring the Excavator Modules to the Excavator
After collecting an Excavator Module, approach an Excavator for automatically install it. An Excavator will need four modules to fully excavate to 100%, which is the max amount of modules you can carry.
Wait for the Excavator to Charge
Keep an eye on the excavation progress and the remaining number of Excavator Modules. Keep the Excavators from reaching 0 HP or it will be disabled for the rest of the commission. Bring other teammates with you so you can cover more ground.
Receive Coins When the Excavator Finishes Charging
Excavators will reward Coins while it is excavating. The commission is completed after three Excavators have been activated and at least one of them fully excavates. Having all three Excavators fully excavate will give more coins than the commission's base reward.
Retreat or Continue for More Rounds
Completing an Excavation commission allows for a choice between retreating or continuing to activate new Excavators for more Coins. Each wave will increase the rewards until it is reset on the 6th Wave. Enemy levels will steadily increase per wave.
Excavation ∞ Commissions Tips and Strategies
Focus on Getting Excavator Modules By Defeating Porter Filthoids
You will be required to have Excavator Modules to complete this commission. You can acquire Excavator Modules by defeating Porter Filthoids, so focus on fighting them.
After you've acquired 4 Excavator Modules, go to an Excavator to have the modules automatically loaded into it and then protect the Exacavator from enemies as it charges to 100%.
Use Summon Skills and Multi-Target Attacks
To combat the sheer amount of swarming enemies that will attack you from all directions, use Summon Skill where you can hit multiple targets or deal damage multiple times in one attack. Moreover, it's recommended to use characters with Area-of-Effect (AoE) attacks to attack multiple enemies with more ease.
Characters like Rebecca, Sibylle, Tabethe, and Lynn are recommended for Excavation ∞ Commissions.
