Shadows of Dread
Looming Winter |
Subject 47 appears as a story boss. Players will encounter it first in the Shadows of Dread main quest; the boss battle section in this quest will end when you take out half of its HP.
The second main boss battle occurs in the Looming Winter quest. Players will find themselves having one big boss fight and an extra minor battle with Subject 47.
Despite having multiple encounters, this boss is not available in Nocturnal Echoes and doesn't have any drop rewards.
Subject 47 Location
First Encounter in Wastewater Treatment Depths During Shadows of Dread

Players need to chase down the Perpetrator, known as Subject 47, in the Shadows of Dread main quest. The first battle encounter with Subject 47 ends halfway through the boss' HP and it will retreat shortly after.
Second Encounter Deep in Icelake Sewers During Looming Winter

The secound encounter is the full boss fight with Subject 47. This will occur in the marked location on the Icelake Sewers map, during the Looming Winter quest.

Run and Shoot
Subject 47 will move quickly across the battlefield, it is recommended to run and avoid its attacks. Players may shoot at Subject 47 when it finishes casting its attack.
Attack After It Lands
After Subject 47 lands an attack, there will be a brief period where the boss is idle for a few seconds. You can use this window of opportunity to attack and strike the boss!
Target Weakness Exposed
Once the boss' armor stance bar is down, swiftly target the Weakness Exposed point to deal heavy damage on Subject 47.
Subject 47 Attack Patterns
Line Explosion Atrack
| The boss will charge towards the player and leave a flaming path where it ran across. |

| How to Dodge | Be sure to sidestep right before the boss charges at you! Avoid staying in the path of the flames until the explosion is released. |

Savage Roar Attack
Subject 47 will unleash dark orbs during this attack. They will surround the boss and move outwards. |
|
| How to Dodge | It is recommended to distance your character away from the center since the orbs will be difficult to avoid up close. |

Raging Roar Attack
| This attack has a wide AoE compared to the other moves! A dome will increase in size and pillars will have flashing indicators on where they will strike. |
|
| How to Dodge | Find the gaps between the flashing indicators of the pillars and use that space to avoid taking damage. Make some distance away from the dome too! |
