Margie is a strong unit with a powerful ultimate. However, the damage of Margie's ultimate relies on her passive's stacks. You need to pick up loot to stack Margie's passive (Jackpot), which isn't always something you can do.
Overall, Margie is still a competent unit due to her ATK buff. Also, Margie is a free unit that can be unlocked near the beginning of the game.

Hold Down Margie's Treasure Shovel
Margie's Treasure Shovel can be held down to deal continuous Fire DMG. This skill can also stun enemies.
Pick Up Loot to Gain Jackpot
When Margie or other allies pick up loot, they receive Jackpot stacks. These stacks can increase the Skill DMG of the user.
Cast Explostions with Margie's Combustible Bin
Margie will throw three Combustible Bins forward towards enemies and deal AoE Fire DMG. These Combustible Bins can become stronger depending on the amount of Jackpot stacks you have.
Increase Ally ATK
After unlocking Margie's Pep Song, she can buff an ally's ATK.
How to Get Margie
Obtain During the Tutorial
Margie is the first character you get simply by progressing Duet Night Abyss' story.
Get Through the Secret Letter System
Most of the characters in Duet Night Abyss can be obtained through the Secret Letter system. Using 10 Secret Letter Clues, you can buy the Secret Letter of Margie, which can be opened after completing a Covert Commission stage.
After opening a Secret Letter, it has a chance to drop a Thought. You then need 30 pieces of a Thought to unlock Margie. Do note that Secret Letters are not guaranteed to drop a Thought!
Use Phoxene Plumule to Buy Thoughts
If you go to the Shop via the pause menu, you can buy a character's Thought for 150 Phoxene Plumule, which is the game's premium currency and can be bought using real money.
