| We are still working on locating each Geniemon available in the game. So stay tuned! | |
Geniemons that are marked with a purple tag are user-submitted findings. These geniemons may or may not appear in the marked locations depending on the game's reset period.
The map above displays Geniemon locations in the game. While Geniemons could spawn randomly in the world, this could be affected by the game's reset period.
Regardless, there are guaranteed spawn locations for certain Geniemons scattered through the map. Currently there are 18 Geniemon that can be captured across Icelake, Purgatorio Island, Lonza Fortress, and Glevum Pit.
Meanwhile, 6 Geniemons can be obtained through the Bard's Tome including Umbrelf, Hydrelf, Pyrelf, Electrelf, Anemelf, and Luminelf.
If you find any new Geniemon, please share their location in the comments below!

When looking for a Geniemon, look for a small beam of light. This should indicate that a Geniemon is nearby. The color of the light will also vary according on the Geniemon's rarity.

When hunting Geniemon, it is recommended to deploy Bro Boxie because of its support ability, which allows it to detect nearby Geniemon.
Keep in mind that you need to trigger Bro Boxie skill for it to mark the nearby Geniemon. Check out the guide below to learn where to find a guaranteed Bro Boxie.

Most Geniemon can be collected by feeding them Treats. These Treats have varying levels of Rarity with higher ones giving you a better chance of befriending a Geniemon.

Some Geniemon can be collected through the Bard's Tome Battle Pass's Level 30 mark and as rewards from Events.
The sparkling animation of a Shiny Geniemon is the best way to recognize it at a glance. Shiny Geniemon should have an additional animation that can be seen from their base.

Shiny Geniemon will have a different color than their regular counterparts. However, keep in mind that an Ardent variant of a Geniemon will also appear in a different color.

You can level up Geniemons by using Creams or other Geniemons as EXP materials. You can level Geniemon up until the Level 20, 40, and 60 thresholds. When you level up Geniemon, you can get Traits that provide different buffs such as stat buffs and quality of life upgrades during exploration.
When a Geniemon has reached a Level Threshold, you need to use a Geniemon of the same element to Ascend them and unlock the other levels, which allows them to gain new passive buffs.
Geniemon is a pet system in Duet Night Abyss that allows creatures to assist you in combat through dealing damage or providing buffs to your character, as well as help you in exploration.
The pet system also works on Geniemons being set as Inactive or Active. Moreover, depending on their Traits, Geniemons can give various buffs or boosts when equipped.
Equipping an Inactive Geniemon to an Active Geniemon passes on its traits and corresponding bonuses or buffs, and gives you the additional bonuses when using that Active Geniemon.
| Variant | Trait Slots |
|---|---|
| Miraculous | 3 Slots |
| Ardent | 3 Slots |
| Shiny | 4 Slots |
Most Geniemon are composed of variants, including Miraculous, Ardent, ans Shiny Geniemons.
Miraculous and Ardent variants have 3 trait slots, and are types of color palettes that are mostly for aesthetic purposes. While Shiny Geniemon are rarer variants that get one extra trait slot.
You can unlock the Geniemon and start collecting them by completing the special side quest Go, Geniemons! during Chapter 1: Noctoyager Act 1.
