How to Unlock Tutorial Quest: Covert Commissions
Obtain Secret Letter: Truffle and Filbert
To unlock Tutorial Quest: Covert Commissions, complete the Go, Geniemons! Special Side Quest to receive Secret Letter: Truffle and Filbert as a reward.
Complete Prerequisite Quests
Go, Geniemons! is required to unlock the mission. Accomplish it first, so you may gain access to this quest.

Access Covert Commissions
Tutorial Quest: Covert Commissions can be accessed and completed at any time. To begin the quest, go to Commissions by selecting Combat through the Menu. Then, click on the Covert Commissions tab.
Select a Covert Commission Type
The in-game tutorial will lead you to Character Covert Commissions for Secret Letter Drops, which are essential for unlocking playable characters. You will be guided to select the available Covert Commission type.
Note that the available types of Covert Commissions will depend on the time you are playing through this Special Side Quest.
Load Secret Letter: Truffle and Filbert
Click Select a Secret Letter
and load Secret Letter: Truffle and Filbert, which you obtained from completing Go, Geniemons!. Doing so will ensure that you will receive the necessary drops to eventually unlock Truffle and Filbert.
Complete the Covert Commission
Again, the specific Covert Commission type will depend on when you take on this quest, so the objectives can differ. You may refer to our more in-depth guide on Covert Commissions and their objectives in the link below.
Upon completing the Covert Commission, select [Truffle and Filbert]'s Thoughts as your reward.
Unlock Truffle and Filbert
After completing the Covert Commission, you will have received enough Thoughts to unlock Truffle and Filbert. Go to the Armoury, select Truffle and Filbert, and use the Thoughts you obtained to unlock them.
