Wait for Future Update
The developers have acknowledged the controller recognition and input issues reported by the community. According to their announcement on October 30, 2025 (UTC+8), players can expect fixes and improvements on future patches.
They are also developing mobile controller adaptation for the future!
Use Xbox Controllers
Xbox controllers have reportedly worked fine in Duet Night Abyss. If your controller is from a different line, consider setting up an Xbox controller virtual emulation software like DS4Windows, DualSenseX, or X360CE.
Use Other Control Schemes
Even with supported controllers, certain menu or windows will bug out and stop registering button inputs. The usual fix is to temporarily use the mouse, keyboard, or touch controls to navigate through it. You don’t have to go to Duet Night Abyss’ settings to change into another control scheme so you can switch between them at any time.

Controller Bug is caused by issues from Duet Night Abyss’ controller support, with certain models being incompatible with the game leading to failing to register controller input or random button presses. Xbox controllers are more likely to work with the game as opposed to PlayStation controllers.
The Controller Bug is also referring to certain menus and windows being inaccessible to controllers. These instances will likely be addressed in a future update to improve the game’s compatibility with the control scheme.
