Duet Night Abyss How to Summon and Equip Allies

Summoned allies in Duet Night Abyss are allies that you can equip to fight alongside your current character. See how to summon and equip allies and tips for summoning allies here!

How to Summon Allies

Equip Character Sigils to the Tactical Backpack

Tactical Backpack Combat Partners
To summon your allies, you'll need to equip them first through your Tactical Backpack. You can access this menu by heading to the Armoury menu and then to the Tactical Backpack tab.

From there, select one of the empty slots in the radial menu, and you should be able to equip one of your character sigils. If you aren't able to, it means the character requires a weapon equipped. Simply click on the character sigil you want to use, press the loadout button, then equip them with a weapon to be able to equip them!

Open Backpack And Summon Using Character Sigils

Tactical Backpack Summon
Once you have your allies' Sigils equipped, you'll now be able to summon your allies anytime. Simply open up the radial menu by holding the Tactical Backpack button. (T on Keyboard, LT on controller).

After which, you can choose the character Sigil you want to use and you should be able to see your summoned ally on the field!

You Can Summon Up To Two Characters

Companions

Only up to two characters may be called upon to aide you in your battles. Attempting to summon a third character will send you a notification that the maximum number of companions has been reached.

Withdraw Allies By Using Sigil: Void

Withdraw Allies

To remove allies from your party, the Sigil: Void item must be equipped on your Tactical Backpack. Simply open your tactical backpack and then use the sigil to withdraw your companions.

Allies Are Summoned Automatically Inside Commissions

Combat Partners Commissions

During commissions, two of your combat partners will be automatically summoned to aid you; you no longer need to use character sigils to summon them manually.

How to Change Summoned Allies' Weapons

Open Character Sigil Loadout In The Armoury

Sigil Loadout

In the Tactical Backpack tab of the Armoury menu, select the character sigil you want to equip a weapon to and then click Loadout. Here, you will find all the weapons you own, with ranged and melee weapons each having their own tabs.

Do note that only one weapon, melee or ranged, may be equipped per character. Inversely, each weapon can only be equipped on one character at a time.

Tips For Summoning Allies

Consider Synergies When Summoning Allies

Hellfire Roles
Since characters have synergies with other characters, you may need to choose a character with support capabilities to maximize and aid your team's damage.

For instance, you may want Hellfire during commissions to tank for you, or Truffle and Filbert for heals.

Prioritize Weapon Buffs Over Proficiency

Character Weapon Proficiency

Your summoned allies will still benefit from having weapon types they are proficient with. However, having weapons with synergistic buffs is of way more importance than matching a character's weapon proficiency.

For example, if you need Skill Duration on a Support, look to equip a weapon that grants just that, even if the character you are equipping it to does not have a weapon proficiency in that weapon type.

Use Demon Wedges to Boost Stats

Equip Demon Wedges
Summoned allies will retain the stats of the character selected with the gear you have them equipped. Equip them with Demon Wedges to allow your summoned allies to do more damage and be more effective in combat!
