After getting your Trial Rank to 60, Mystic Maze becomes the best source of Coins.
Mystic Maze difficulty VI allows players to earn loads of Threads of Time, the currency used for the permanent event mode's shop, the Spindle of Fate.
In the Spindle of Fate, 10,000 Coins could be bought for just 50 Threads of Time, but after 20 purchases during the week, the amount drops down to 5,000 Coins for the same price.
Each Mystic Maze run takes late game players five to ten minutes, and the amount of Coins you can purchase with the Threads of Time you earn will be at around 750k to 1 million. Assuming you spend the same amount of time on Commission: Excavation on the highest difficulty, it will yield a lower amount compared to Mystic Maze.

| Domain of Desiccation | Increases prices at Abyssal Merchang by 50% Embers. | 1 |
| Domain of Folly | All choices become randomized. | 1 |
Mystic Maze difficulty VI allows players to make their run more difficult by introducing modifiers called Abyssward Depth. The more Depth a run has, the more Threads of Time you earn after the run.
To maximize Threads of Time generation, players should turn on all of these modifiers, except for the Domain of Malignant Growth and the Domain of Numbness, which increases enemy HP and decreases the damage they take respectively. These two will serve to be counterproductive, as it will significantly lengthen the time you spend in the run.
You might be worried about turning on Domain of Folly, which randomizes all your choices. This will essentially mean that you will not have a fully-optimized Lampwick or Artefact loadout, but it is a manageable debuff to play through in order to make more Threads of Time.
Lady Nifle
|
Zhiliu
|
Psyche
|
Lynn
|
Using characters that are strong against both mobs and bosses will make your Coin farm more efficient, as these characters tend to clear combat areas and boss encounters faster than the rest.
Namely, these are Lady Nifle, Zhiliu, Psyche, and Lynn.

To hasten your farming process, prioritize gold and blue portals while avoiding the red ones to try and make your run as fast as possible, since red portals take you to a combat encounter where you have to clear the room
Combat cannot be completely avoided, as some blue portals require you to engage in combat, and because sometimes red portals are your only options. Still, taking the blue portal gives good odds of being able to skip combat, while gold portals are guaranteed to save you some time.'
In the blue portals, be wary of decisions that reward you with random Blue-rarity artefacts, since some of these have tradeoffs in the form of debuffs that can ruin your run by nerfing your primary form of damage.

In the early and mid game, grinding Excavation is the best and most consistent way to farm Coins.
One very useful tip for optimizing Excavation is to play as high mobility characters like Truffle and Filbert or Rhythm in order to quickly travel between the excavators. Deploy powerful DPS units as your companions to let them do the fighting for you.
Alternatively, you could also use characters that you want to level up manually as your playable character for an easy leveling strat.

If you happen to have friends who are also looking to farm for Coins, Carmine Globules, or Luno Mementos, consider playing Bounty Commissions together as a party.
We suggest heading into this with a party, as this will be challenging to pull off on your own. With how long it will take players to do this solo, the other methods will simply generate more coins for less the trouble and less the time spent.
The amount of Coins you could earn vary per Bounty Commission difficulty, with the highest difficulty (IV) rewarding players with 112,000 Coins, along with 1920 Carmine Globules and 40 Luno Mementos.

Fishing can be extremely profitable in the world of Duet Night Abyss, as the fish you catch can then be exchanged for Angler's Tokens.
These Angler's Tokens can be used to purchase Coins in special Fishing stores such as the Icelake Fisheries and the Haojing Fisheries.
100 Angler's Tokens can be exchanged for 10,000 Coins in these special shops, but this is limited to 10 purchases per shop per period.
Fish come in different rarities, and the higher they are, the more expensive they will be when they are sold. Using higher quality rods and bait will not only increase the chances of catching rare fish, but also make the fishing process easier.
| Ways to Use Coins | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Upgrade Characters and Weapons |
| 2 | Upgrade Skills |
| 3 | Upgrade Demon Wedges |
| 4 | Forging |

Coins are mostly used to upgrade your Characters and Weapons! Each level of a character and a weapon requires different amount of Coins.
The higher the level of upgrade, the more coins required!

After upgrading a character, you can also upgrade their character skills which require Coins. Depending on the level of the skill, the Coins required varies.
Each character has three skills that you can upgrade using coins and various materials.

Coins are also used in upgrading Demon Wedges, alongside Carmine Globules. Each level requires more Coins from you to upgrade the Demon Wedge.

Forging from Lunosmith requires a bit of Coins to forge any blueprints. Often times they're negligible to be wary about, but still worthy of being mindful of them!
