How Strong Is Daphne?

Strengths
• Excellent healer support while being available by progressing the game. • Provides multiple damage buffs to the entire party. She gives Crit Chance and increases damage dealt by allies upon increasing her Intron level. • Debuffs enemies' attacks and deals sustained DoT against targets inside her domain.
Weaknesses
• She primarily shines as a support unit and isn't ideal as a DPS due to her low-damage abilities. • Can be quite squishy due to her healing scaling from her ATK rather than HP.

Daphne is a high value support unit capable of both providing sustain and damage buffs to allies. She can fit in a lot of teams and is easy to build due to her buffs scaling with ATK.

She also provides debuffs to enemies upon using her ultimate skill, making her ideal for both dealing with bosses and enemy waves.

Daphne's best weapon options are the Tetherlash and the Arclight Apocalypses, as the former improves Max HP, while the latter provides their allies with buffs to either ATK, DEF, Skill Damage, or Skill Duration.

As for her Demon Wedge setup, we try to stack as much Skill Duration and Max Sanity as possible for maximum buff uptime.

Tetherlash is Daphne's best weapon as it gives her extra Skill Duration, improving her healing and buffing skills' uptime. As she is primarily run as a support, you'll want this to be active as much as possible.

For alternatives, other Whiplash weapons are viable to maximize her weapon proficiency. You can also consider using the Blade Amberglow, as it gives her a huge ATK% increase, making her healing a lot more potent.

Arclight Apocalypses is Daphne's best ranged weapon, as this not only increases Skill Duration, but grants allies with buffs to either ATK, DEF, Skill Damage, or Skill Duration as well.

Osteobreaker is the next best option for Daphne, as it gives her more Skill Duration for better uptime of her abilities.

Daphne performs best in a mono Anemo team, as she provides great passive healing to the entire party while also boosting both Anemo DMG and Crit Chance to her allies. A strong Anemo DPS like Psyche maximizes her buffs, making her the ideal choice with Daphne.

Repulsion Synthesis	★★★★★	This skill is Daphne's primary source of buffs to her allies and should be highly prioritized when upgrading her kit. Level this up first.
Azoth Projectile	★★★☆☆	Azoth Projectile is one of Daphne's main sources of damage that is mainly dealt as a coordinated attack with ranged weapons. This is less of a priority, but still boosts the team's damage overall. Upgrade this last, but do not neglect it.

Argent Lacrima When Daphne possesses [Azoth Projectile] and her ranged weapon attack deals damage, target hit by the ranged weapon attack incurs the DoT of [Decay Formula] 1 time. The damage is based on a certain percentage of Daphne's Ranged Weapon Trigger Probability.
Ardent Impulse [Available only when deployed as a Combat Partner] Increases CRIT Chance for self and allies.

Heal Allies and Slow Enemies Down

Emerald Effusion summons a field around Daphne that provides party healing and slow down enemies inside.

Buff Allies and Restrain Enemies

Repulsion Synthesis also provides healing towards the party and applies an Anemo DMG buff called Purification Formula.

Enemies nearby will receive Decay Formula, which decreases their attack and deals periodic Anemo DMG.

Azoth Projectiles Increase Trigger Probability

Daphne can collect Azoth Projectiles by using Emerald Effusion or Repulsion Synthesis. Each Azoth Projectile stack increases the Trigger Probability of Daphne's Ranged Weapon and a stack is consumed after attacking with a ranged weapon.

When Daphne attacks an enemy with a Ranged Weapon while carrying an Azoth Projectile, enemies that dealt damage this way will receive a Decay Formula.

I1	★★★★☆ - Great Daphne's Intron 1 is a great upgrade to her already strong kit. This provides more buffs to her entire party, which improves upon her support role even further.
I2	★★★☆☆ - Good This Intron is good to have, as it basically improves her chances to apply her DoT even more against enemies in the field.
I4	★★★☆☆ - Good Daphne's Intron 4 is a nice-to-have improvement, as you'll want her to use as much skills as possible on the field. This extra and consistent source of Sanity lets you get more of her buffs and heals.
I6	★★★★★ - Amazing! Her Intron 6 is a huge improvement to her supportive capabilities. It provides a big DMG increase to DPS units regardless of element type. You'll want to get this eventually, as it drastically boosts her value even further.

Intron 3 and 5 are just stat boosts. So, they are not included in the table above!

Get Through the Secret Letter System

Most of the characters in Duet Night Abyss can be obtained through the Secret Letter system. Using 10 Secret Letter Clues, you can buy the Secret Letter of Daphne, which can be opened after completing a Covert Commission stage.

After opening a Secret Letter, it has a chance to drop a Thought. You then need 30 pieces of a Thought to unlock Daphne. Do note that Secret Letters are not guaranteed to drop a Thought!

If you go to the Shop via the pause menu, you can buy a character's Thought for 150 Phoxene Plumule, which is the game's premium currency and can be bought using real money.
