Impressions are stats you can increase from picking certain dialogue choices or actions in Duet Night Abyss. Learn what Impressions are, their uses, and how to raise each stat here!
List of Contents

When picking Dialogue Choices, it's best to pick different answers rather than sticking to one that represents your character's personality. This is because you'd want to level all of your impression stats later down the line, as you'll encounter impression checks that have a high difficulty level.
We'll update this section once we compile a list of all dialogue choices in the game and which of those choices will level up what impression, and if it leads to a side quest.
If you're adamant about only choosing dialogue choices that represent what you want for your character's personality, you'll just have to farm a lot of dice for Impressions checks. Failing a check won't lock you out of the dialogue anyway, so you can keep rerolling until you succeed.
You can normally get d10s by playing quests in the game. So it's recommended to progress through the Main Quests as well as complete Side Quests to get d10's as rewards.
| Do Dialogue Choices Matter? |
|---|

While choosing dialogue choices won't affect any major changes within the game's story, it helps the players build up their character's personality.
This lets the main character be what you want them to be, either letting them be careful about their situation or be brash and upfront with other people.

Even if there aren't any major changes to the story, choosing certain dialogue options will let you hear and see unique dialogues from characters reacting differently based on what you use to respond with.

When talking to certain NPCs in the overworld, choosing the correct dialogue choices will let you unlock certain Side Quests after passing an impression check.

Some dialogue choices also reward you with certain items, such as Secret Letter Clues and Coins after passing an impression check.
| How to Increase Impression Points |
|---|

You gain Impression Stats by engaging in character dialogue during Main Quests and Side Quests. Keep playing the game to raise your Impressions naturally. It's best to access your Quest Log in the left corner of your screen for easy access.

Some Dynamic Quests have dialogue with NPCs that can increase your Impressions. Though the Impression points you can potentially earn is usually just 1pt., it's still worth considering doing Dynamic Quests as they pop up on the map to increase your stat points.
If you don't want to do long quests, you can also talk to the NPCs scattered in the world. There's a high chance that talking to them will raise your Impressions. Another reason why exploring and engaging the world of Duet Night Abyss is recommended!
| How to Use Impressions |
|---|

When talking to NPCs or characters, there are certain times when some dialogue option requires a specific amount of Impression to progress. These are called Impression Checks.
To pass a check, you will need to have a high stat on the impression that the dialogue option requires. You also need Dices (d10) to perform the impression check.
To be able to perform an Impression Check, you will need Dices (d10s), which you can get from completing side quests or by forging the item. After which, you will be able to select the dialogue option where you will be met with an impression check.
To pass the impression check, you need to roll a number higher than the difficulty number using the d10 dice. Reaching higher than the difficulty number will let you pass the check, continue the dialogue, and gain rewards.
Failing an Impression Check doesn't lock the dialogue option forever. You can reroll again if you have enough d10 Dice, or you could come back to the dialogue when you've raised the specific Impression Stat needed.

Lunoeggy's Impression Shop is an in-game shop where you can exchage items for materials, blueprints, and other in-game content. Usually, the d10 dice can be used to exchange items available at the shop, but you will need to roll during this transaction. In line with this, you'll also be required to pass Impression Checks before you can make purchases.
Moreover, before some items in Lunoeggy's Impression Shop can be purchased, each Impression Stat needs to be raised to certain levels. For example, items in the Benefit tab will require your Benefit impression stat to be raised to required levels to be unlocked for purchase or exchange.
Most items in Lunoeggy's Impression Shop become exchangeable once your Impression stats reach level 40, so it's recommended to eventually get all stats (Benefit, Chaos, Morality, Empathy, and Wisdom) to 40pts. to unlock items.
| Impression | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Benefit | Dialogues that raise Benefit often result in gaining advantage in the current situation. |
| Chaos | Dialogues that sound rude or harsh will often raise Chaos. |
| Morality | Morality comes from dialogue where it sounds like you are doing the morally right thing. |
| Empathy | Emphathizing with the character you are currently talking to obviously raises your Empathy. |
| Wisdom | Choices that showcase your past knowledge or experience raises Wisdom. |
Whenever you pick dialogue choices or do an action, people's Impression of you will be affected. These choices affect the five dimensions of how people perceive you.
