How to Smelt Weapons

Smelt duplicate weapons in Duet Night Abyss (DNA) to improve their unique buffs and passive abilities. Learn about what smelting is and how to smelt weapons in this guide!

How to Smelt Weapons

  1. Acquire Two of the Same Weapon
  2. Access Smelting in the Armoury
  3. Select Materials and Smelt

Acquire Two of the Same Weapon

Weapons Inventory
To smelt, you will need at least a second copy of the weapon you want to level up. You can get multiples of the same weapon by obtaining Blueprints and forging them or by purchasing them at the Shop. Note that Blueprints are single-use.

How to Get Weapons

Acquire a Recasting Mould

Recasting Mould in Phoxhunter Summit event shop

Alternatively, you can also grab a Recasting Mould starting on Version 1.1. The Recasting Mould is an item you can use as a material to smelt any weapon you want by one level. This eliminates the need to farm a specific second copy of a weapon and can even be reserved for use with weapons that will be released in the future.

Access Smelting in the Armoury

Armoury Smelting Menu
In the weapon selection section of the Armoury, you'll find the Smelting tab. Click on the button on the left side to access the Smelt menu. Here, you'll be able to see a weapon's current Smelting level and current buff. Click on Smelt to proceed.

Select Materials and Smelt

Smelting Materials and Preview
In the Smelting level-up screen, you'll be able to preview the result of your Smelting. Select your materials and click Smelt again to finalise the upgrade.

What is Smelting?

Improve Unique Buffs

Weapon Buffs
Each weapon has a passive ability or buff unique to it. These can be improved by raising their Smelting level. Each weapon starts at level 0 and has a max Smelting level of 5.

Recycles Duplicate Weapons

Smelting gives your duplicate weapons an additional use. You can upgrade a weapon's Smelting level by using another weapon of the same kind as a material.
