Covert Commissions let you customize what kind of rewards you can get with the use of purchasable Secret Letters. Simply go to the Shop menu and buy Secret Letters of the character, weapon, or Demon Wedge that you want to obtain, and then select it before beginning the Covert Commission.

By the end of the commission, you can choose only one from three out of the six potential rewards. Do keep in mind that higher rarity drops are less likely to appear as selectable rewards, so be sure to plan out how many Secret Letters to purchase.

How to Clear Exploration ∞ Commissions

Activate the Device Serum Gauge Must Reach 100% Find Storage Points or Resistance Serum Locating Serum Storage Points Defeating Enemies for Resistance Serum Retreat or Continue for More Rounds Continuing the Exploration

Activate the Device

Locate a device panel found near the spawn area and activate it. You will need to solve a puzzle to properly begin the commission.

Serum Gauge Must Reach 100%

A Serum percentage gauge will be displayed on your screen to the left. Keep track of the gauge at the left of the screen until it reaches 100% to complete the commission.

Find Storage Points or Resistance Serum

There are two ways to increase Serum percentage in this commission: locate Serum Storage Points or pick up Resistance Serum from enemy drops.

Locating Serum Storage Points

Serum Storage Point locations will be marked on your screen by default. More markers will be placed as time passes. Locate the Serum Storage Points and interact with it to add 15% Serum percentage.

Defeating Enemies for Resistance Serum

Enemies have a chance to drop an item called Resistance Serum when they are defeated. Picking up a Resistance Serum will add 5% Serum percentage.

Retreat or Continue for More Rounds

Duet Night Abyss Retreat or Continue for More Rounds
Once the Serum percentage is full, you will be given the choice to retreat or continue. Choosing to continue will keep you in your current location and skip through the process of activating the device in the first objective.

Continuing the Exploration

Continuing the commission will reset the Serum percentage but will yield higher rewards gained until it is reset after every 5 waves (keep in mind that this will not increase Secret Letter Drops). Enemy levels will steadily increase per wave regardless of the reward resets.
