Zhuyin’s attacks are primarily large AoE-based skills, so it is crucial to use dodges effectively. Proper timing is essential, as his attacks cover wide areas and can deal significant damage if avoided incorrectly.
During the fight, players should lock on to Zhuyin. Being a large boss, his attacks are highly telegraphed, with each skill displaying a unique animation before activation. His size makes these animations easy to observe.
Players should monitor his movements and pay attention to the red AoE indicators to anticipate incoming attacks. The only exception is his straight horizontal fire breath near him, which lacks an AoE indicator.
However, this skill is typically performed after Zhuyin completes his ground slam attacks.
Unlike other bosses, Zhuyin only stays in one area, so players only need to focus on waiting for him to finish his attacks.
He usually pauses briefly after completing a skill sequence, except after using his two-pillar attack, as he immediately follows it with a cone-shaped fire breath. Players can safely attack after this sequence.
We recommend attacking his hands, as they are closest to the ground. While targeting his chest is also effective, it can sometimes make dodging his next skill more difficult.
Zhuyin typically has a long window between attacks, giving players the opportunity to strike with full force. Use Sigils, combo attacks, and special moves to maximize damage, especially when he summons his two pillars.
Your allies can assist in destroying the pillars quickly, helping you avoid the massive AoE damage that follows if the pillars aren't destroyed on time.
| Zhuyin slams one of his hands onto the ground near his body, creating an AoE damage zone. He usually performs this attack twice in succession with both hands. |
|
| How to Dodge | Before Zhuyin slams his hand, he gives two clear warnings: he raises one hand for a second, and a red AoE marker appears on the ground. Dodge before the animation completes and stay locked on to clearly see and avoid the attack. |
|---|---|
| Zhuyin breathes a long stream of fire from his mouth, covering a large cone-shaped area in front of him. The attack travels quickly and deals damage across the affected area for approximately 3 seconds. |
|
| How to Dodge | Zhuyin signals this attack with a clear animation, swirling upward as he charges. Shortly after, a red cone-shaped AoE indicator appears on the ground. When you see this, use at least two dodges to move into the unaffected area, positioning yourself near the right-most edge next to him. |
|---|---|
| Zhuyin fires a straight line of fire horizontally and directly in front of him, typically performing this attack twice in quick succession. |
|
| How to Dodge | Zhuyin prepares this move by twirling rapidly without rising high into the sky, which distinguishes it from his cone-shaped fire. Shortly after this animation, he releases the fire breath. Since the attack only affects a narrow, horizontal straight line close to him, simply dodge away from Zhuyin as soon as you see the animation to avoid taking damage. |
|---|---|
| Zhuyin summons two pillars in the center of the arena, causing the entire area to be covered in a red AoE warning. Each pillar displays a small circular AoE indicator at its base. This indicator gradually expands until it reaches its marked radius, after which the pillar releases a short-range blast that deals damage to nearby players. At the same time, a separate red AoE indicator appears on the ground between the two pillars. This central AoE steadily expands outward. If this AoE reaches the edge of the arena before both pillars are destroyed, it will trigger a massive explosion, destroying the pillars and dealing heavy damage across the entire area. |
|
| How to Dodge | To deal with the pillars’ small AoE attacks, continue attacking them and watch the AoE indicators closely. When the expanding indicator is about to reach the small circle around a pillar, dodge to avoid the blast, then immediately return and continue attacking. The large arena-wide AoE attack cannot be dodged, so players must destroy both pillars before the central AoE fully expands to prevent the massive explosion. |
|---|---|
| Edict of Thunder and Twilight Zhuyin’s ultimate attack, Edict of Thunder and Twilight, is his most powerful ability. He first summons four purple lightning beams that spin outward in a fan-like pattern, with their tips converging near the center of the area. These beams rotate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. At the same time, Zhuyin creates a lightning tornado that slowly moves around the arena, and he also periodically summons circular lightning beams. These beams emit a brief charge-up before exploding, dealing heavy damage if not avoided. |
|
| How to Dodge | Since you’ll need to dodge multiple hazards at once, prioritizing your movements is key. The lightning tornado is the easiest to avoid because there is only one and it moves slowly—simply move away from it without using your dodge. Save your dodge for the rotating laser beams, as dodging grants a brief invincibility frame that lets you avoid damage. Make sure to time your dodge precisely when a beam is about to hit you. At the same time, watch for the circular AoEs and their charge-up indicators; if one is about to explode, move out of its range immediately. Keep moving around the arena rather than staying in one place. |
